Case status at NVC now show as "READY"!!!!!!!!

Does that means that it is already in the consulate in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico?!?!?!?!

Mine says the same thing!!! I had my fiance start filling out the DS 160, I think that is the next step...Does this mean we can schedule an interview, medical etc???

In Mexico you do need the letter of the consulate because the beneficiary will be asked for it on the medical, the biometrics, and the consulate interview. In my case that I live in the State of Mexico I also need it in order to get the Police certificate.

So yes you can move forward to fill out the DS-160 but wait to schedule the medical, biometrics and interview until you have the letter with you.

For what I have read if the letter doesn't arrive you can ask for a copy in the Information Window in the consulate in Ciudad Juarez. Since I am doing the Biometrics and Medical in Mexico City and only the Interview in Ciudad Juarez, we do need to wait for the letter. I will try to find out if I can get a copy of it in the Embassy in Mexico City.

Same here. My status shows ready since 25 Nov but when I tracked the DHL package it actually arrived at the embassy on the 27th. Waiting for an email from the embassy so we can move forward.

Woohoo I called NVC this morning before I head back to the UK this afternoon and we have a case number

So excited our journey has been pretty smooth so far hopefully it will remain that way and my next trip out here will be on a one way ticket....

My fiance's are all set for her medical at st luke's manila tomorrow morning. She got all her requirements needed. I hope everything goes smoothly.??????

Fiance is ready for her medical exams next Wednesday December 9th and interview in Rio will be January 5th. Soooo this is really happening !!!!! Can't wait to kick 2016 with a great start!!!!

Ah, got the same letter in the mail today! Now I just need the letter from the consulate....hopefully i get that within the next week or two.

I believe our dates are almost the same so my Finance should get the letter soon!!

Go to http://travel.state....udadJuarez.pdf as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the this website as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.
