Any one from Egypt received any interview appointments for October?

Do you think that they will send e-mails earlier this month due to the upcoming Adha feast?

My I 864 has only tax forms missing which i need to submit at the time of interview so scanned copy should be fine???? Help help!

If you're referring to your I-864, I would be VERY careful with submitting a scanned copy. We submitted one to NVC and got bumped for not having an original signature. At our interview yesterday they very carefully checked. I know that you are supposed to bring original documents to the interview. So just be very careful. You could call and ask the embassy? Better to be safe than sorry....

Hi guys, I was approved at my interview on 09/16 at the Ghana Consulate. I have since been trying to write a review about my experience but finding it difficult to do so. Each time I click on the Embassy review/submit a new consulate review, it send's me to a page with this message:

>> You must be registered to post a review! Please register first! << (I'm already a registered member!!!)

Do I need to register again to submit a review?

Log out and back in :). That should fix the issue.

My I 864 has only tax forms missing which i need to submit at the time of interview so scanned copy should be fine???? Help help!

Your question is not clear. But I will answer in detail. You can grab what you need from this.

I864 and it's connected documents like tax returns, W2s etc. is the most (MOST, MOST) important document. The NVC and also the Embassy will look into it in depth. That is the only thing they look to make sure petitioner and sponsor can support the beneficiary. We should not take any chance at all.

There is no timeline for yours. Based on the question, I assume that you had case complete at NVC and you got the interview. Looks like NVC asked some tax forms to be submitted at the interview.

If I were you, I will do this.

Send ORIGINAL I-864 with original signature of all sponsors, ORIGINAL W2's, ORIGINAL Tax Returns duly signed, ORIGINAL 1099's everything original for year 2014, 2013 and 2012. If the originals are not available then copies are fine but if the originals are available, don't look for the mailing expenses. Don't believe in NVC. We need to make sure we should carry every original to the interview to save the time. They won't reject the visa for not having the original but they will ask to produce the original if needed to issue the VISA.

I wish you all good luck. We are waiting for the interview at Mumbai Embassy. Case completed at NVC couple of days ago.

A few people with cases completed in May had their interviews scheduled last week...for the end of October. Your CC date looks to be 1 day after ours (7/20), so we should hopefully hear about our interviews around the same time. :) Unfortunately, it looks like Cairo didn't schedule any interviews with June CC dates, so we might not hear anything until November (December interview dates) based on the current wait times (5 months from case complete to interview). :clock:

That's pathetic !

Do you think that there may be other available slots for October?!

Have you tried to apply for an expedite request?

Normally by the 20th of the month,it seems that NVC is done scheduling interviews for the up-coming month, but I keep seeing more posts from people saying they just got an interview date..not for Egypt though. It's as if the embassy in Egypt has only one person running the whole place, so he/she is always severely behind!

Not everybody who is going through the process is on VJ and not every person on VJ updates their timeline/progress as soon as they hear new info, so it's impossible to know exactly how far Cairo/NVC got scheduling interviews, but I think the last person who was updated on the CC-to-interview spreadsheet was around May 20. :( I think Cairo will probably schedule many more immigrant visa interviews next month (November interview dates) now that the summer rush for student and tourist visas is finished. My husband (beneficiary) has several friends and colleagues who got student visas in a matter of a few months max (interview dates in July and August), so it stings a bit more to be held up for a year while others can move on with their lives relatively quickly (as I'm sure you know).

We have not applied for an expedite because we have no reason to. Cairo will only accept them in very extreme situations anyway. There was a person who had his NOA1 date in Oct 2014, got expedited through USCIS and NVC for legitimate reasons and still had to wait 4 months for his CR1 interview (June 2015) at the Cairo embassy. Not much we can do except sit back and wait.
