Have you tried both doctors in Stockholm or Gothenburg/Göteborg? See if one has an earlier time?

Maybe the train ticket or travel cost are worth it to not waste your interview time.

Good luck!

Hi,

Yes, i did call. I told them my interview date is 9/16. But

Stockholm avail date 9/14

I have the original because I opted for Electronic Processing. The NVC technically only has copies of all of my documents, so I have to bring the originals of most of my documents as well as a copy. If you sent the original by mail, then definitely bring the copy to the interview. I'm not quite sure if it's a problem that you sent your original I-864 to the NVC, but I'm sure that someone that also did mail processing can answer this for you.

Yes, the new I-864 is on the USCIS website. The edition is 7/02/15.

*Edit*

Also be sure to check the application after you fill it out and print it. I noticed that certain boxes weren't checked and certain spaces didn't have what I typed in them. It's no problem to write in what you need even if you typed in everything else, but definitely check over the form!

Great thanks. Wow I don't know what i would do without this site! I would have never ever known we needed to do another form... I can't imagine us going to Nicaragua and being told at the interview we needed it and didn't have it! ughhhhhhh Anything to make our lives more complicated LOL

My question to dwheels: Is this new version of I-864 Form mandatory for every Embassy or It has to be required in writing by the NVC? I can't understand at all. Because some people I know had their interviews without it. And it is not in the CHECKLIST for the Interview.

I'm not Dwheels, but I'll answer this question. The answer is: "It Depends"

Some consulates/embassies will want to see a new I-864 - especially if the sponsor is REALLY close to the poverty line. If your sponsor(s) are very much over, and have been for three years, then you might not be asked for an updated one.

If your interview letter says "Bring a new I-864", then, of course, you bring a new one. If your I-864 package did NOT include 2014 tax returns, then it is probably good to bring an updated I-864, plus a copy of the 2014 transcript, or, if you don't have the transcript, a copy of the tax return, including all W-2s and any other forms that were submitted.

My interview was in June. We were not asked for any tax or I-864 updates. But, we were comfortably over the poverty line, and, Australia is a low-risk country.

So...it depends. Do yourself a favor and BRING a new I-864 and tax info. Don't volunteer it. But have it with you. Just in case.

Thanks Sukie this really clears it up :)

Guess I'll just wait to see if the consulate asks for it, but hopefully it should be all good then.

Oh, ok.... but how do you have your oringina I-864? Mine was sent to NVC, I only have a copy. Also, do we just go to the USCIS website and download a new form to fill out? Thanks

I submitted my original I-864s to NVC too, called them and they said it will be sent in the package to the Consulate so no need to bring more originals. So if you can trust what they say (not always sure, I've gotten conflicting answers from different NVC agents on other questions in the past), just bring copies of the I-864s you submitted, the Consular Officer should have the originals already.

We got a CC letter on Aug 11th and are waiting for our interview date in the Jerusalem Consulate (added it to the spreadsheet though I don't see it there yet). Hopefully will hear something soon.

Good luck everyone!

Hi :

Since my case status is 'case completed', and now I'm just waiting for the interview date, I have a question.

Is it true : that I as an applicant, will require my wife(sponsor), to fill out the 'new and updated version' of I-864, and have it with me to take it to the interview?

I appreciate advise. We'll hold off until the interview, and hope for the best.

Yes, she needs to fill out the new I-864. I just finished up ours. My husband will take it with him to the interview.

Hi,

My case is complete too and waiting for interview. I think my wife submitted the older version of I-864EZ.

Where have you got this information to take a new version of I864 to the interview?Have you received any communication from NVC regarding this?
