I'm wondering if they all got denied or something? I dont see any successfull Vietnamese case in here . Am I the only one ? I hope my will not get rejected like others' .

Why so many people were denied in Vietnam ? Are they racist ?

I'm filing an I-129F and worrying that my fiancee there will not pass the interview even everything is legit. The visa approved rate in Vietnam is about 50% or less now .

I heard a friend of mine has a kid there and he still couldn't bring her over here . Is there any quota of people from certain country to enter the US ?

I-129F sent and recieved by USCIS on Feb 16th, 2007-Also I fly to Vietnam to see my fiancee on today. This is the 4th times I have flied to vietnam within a year time frame. I miss her.

You need to spend some time researching your question before flippantly tossing out the racist statement. There are many reported successes if you simply search the time lines....

YMMV

Where did you get the proof to make these claims? Please provide the documentation you used for the 50% approval rating. I want to see it.

Are they racist ?

The visa approved rate in Vietnam is about 50% or less now .

Not sure what you're talking about a less than 50% approval rate. I see 90 or so pending applications here, with 60 or so being open and 35 approved. Where's your number coming from?

In any case, there aren't any quotas in the marriage-based visas.

If you think negatively and worry that they will reject you, u just might find that that is what happens! think positive and do all the necessary work and let God handle the rest. If your relationship is bonafide and u can prove it, you have nothing to worry about. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

Same here. Same here. Although I am filing for a K-3, not K-1. I'm Cambodian, not Vietnamese; however, our countries border one another. I know how you feel. :luv:

To find other ppl from Vietnam, go to Immigration Timelines up at the top. Then go to timeline search under the timeline function heading. Then in the drop down boxes go to the country one and click on Vietnam. Click search and it will bring up lots of timelines. Then click on the 2 little people on the right of each name. It will take you to their profile and you can PM them and look at their posts. Click on the name in the timeline search function and it will show you when they filed, how long it took etc. Check out HuskerKiev's post (1st post by former NSC adjudicator). He does a great job of outlining the process there, what they look for, and says how many petitions they usually approved (Just at the service center, you still have many other steps though). Good luck!

Lan said that 9 out of every 10 visa applicants were getting turned away with a blue slip!

Everyone should take particular interest in this statement. It has always been the case at HCMC. Almost every applicant who has posted their interview experience has made this statement (including my own wife). This is the most telling testament to the effectivness of this website, because those statistics are not the same for VisaJourney members. It pays to know what you are doing ahead of time, and obviously people who use this site do.

I think once your fiance showed she had been to the US to visit you, that clinched it. You are pretty fortunate to have that in your case.

I ask the same question to my driving instructor: why people from affluent area have a higher passing rate at the driving exam , is it because of racist ( that 's my own chip on the shoulder ) or because of age discrimination ( I was 18 - plenty of chip on shoulders) ? he laugh it off ( he was a retired white male officer and now driving instructor) and explained me " listen son people fail because they are not prepared - and guess what rich people have more money to spend in preparation ( many courses ) and collecting information.

Now back to the topic , a low passing rate at an embassy just mean most people going through the process are not experienced enough or properly prepared. That 's why America is land of free, you will be treated like ###### by the administration regardless of your colour/nationality/religion/sex/sexual orientation - isn ' it great !!!!! It is what I call equality Love
