Yes, one of my friends wore it for her interview. She's from Indonesia though. I don't know about US embassy in your country.

Thanks for that info. Am in doubt, still waiting for approval, uscis sent us some Notice for RFE which we are working on. If approved, I shall be having my interview in Dakar. Thanks

I do wear the hijab and thought its contradictory to their rules for wearing the hijab at visa interviews

It's religious attire; they can't make you take it off. It won't affect the outcome of the interview.

They may want to pat it down or look closely at it when you go through security to make sure you aren't hiding anything but they can't make you take it off, well maybe if you are real suspicious, but then in private with only a woman present. But in general the US is accepting of religious attire.

Hello everyone, I went for my k1 interview December 30th 2015 in Dakar, councillor approved my visa and asked me to collect the visa the following tuesday which I went for and I was told my case is put on administrative processing and my passport was returned to me with a promise that they will call me when they are done with my case. I also did my daughter's CRBAMy and passport interview on the 9th of December and a DNA was requested which we are working on, our appointment for the sample collection is january 20th 2016.

COULD THAT BE THE REASON FOR PUTTING ME ON Administrative Processing?
