Hi everyone!

I have a quick question...I've been reading all of the exciting and informative posts that all of you publish, but I haven't found any that can answer my question, maybe because once the visa is issued most don't come back to this site.

My husband and I had our CR-1 embassy appointment (yesterday) 8/19/15. We were approved! yei!!!

When we arrived back to Santiago I decided to check the Visa Status on https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw== and it said "ISSUED" ..."your visa has been printed..." less than 12 hrs after the interview.

My question is as follows, I see most people write about "AP" and "Ready" Statuses and I know that if it goes to that it takes a few weeks to receive the visa, but what is the wait time frame/wait to actually get the visa/passport available for pick up once the status says "Ready"? (We opted to pick it up at the Galleria 360 mall in Sto Dgo, I assumed it would be faster) Are we super lucky or will the status change? We were never sent to AP.

I would be elated if we could travel to the US together by the end of the month but i'm a little confused since they told us at the embassy that it could take from 2-3 weeks to have the visa issued and the status check shows that ours already is.

I would appreciate any insight on this.

Thank you!

After my husband's interview, I too checked the status shortly after and it also read issued. The consular officer told him he would receive the passport in 5 days, but he picked it up 3 days after the interview. We decided to have it delivered there in Juarez. Hope this helps. And congrats on your approval!

Yeah, it was time to have some luck with these people, we had 2 checklist and so many delays. Good luck with your visa as well.

Hi, and congratulations again! I definitely understand your joy, yay!! How did you find out that your hubby passport was ready for pick up? Our visa status said "Issue" this morning, which, I couldn't believe our luck.. How did they notify you?
