My interview was yesterday in Atlanta. We met a nice woman and she was really very good. Most of the question was answered by the petitioner/husband. We had interview together and she said she will approve the 130 and will probably approve the green card after running a background check. She also briefed us about ROC and we had a slight argument about geography. She said Israel was in Egypt and we googled the answer. We left on a good note. So my question is when will my status change to approved because it still says scheduled for interview.

I had my interview yesterday at Omaha, Nebraska...the IO lady was not so nice but i think it went well. She told us about the removal of conditions and made me sign a form about the removal of condition and keep saying if she approve my case, i will get an update..how long does it take for my case to be updated.

So I had my I-485 interview yesterday 12/03/15.

The interview was schedule for 12:30. We arrive 11:00 am including 35 minutes drive and breakfast . The west palm building was empty, only 2 couples with lawyers and my hubby didn't want to sit near them he wanted to be in the back of the room. But then I realized a huge sign that said INTERVIEWS with sits like airport type so I told my hubby we needed to change seats. At 12 pm it got really full and loud with couples and lawyers, I got nervous as only 3 couples including us didn't have a lawyer and one of this couple had 2 kids with them. The numbers was called but not in order. Until 1:45 they called our number . Our IO was middle age, very soft spoken he was the only one who wanted the door open, I notice all the other doors with couples and lawyers had their door closed. He made us swear before taking a seat. He open our file and asked my husband if he was born abroad I showed him the birth certificate and copy but said he didn't need it. He ask for our passports and I also showed him my EAD card. He ask my husband his name and if was working in the same place and then he asked him how he met me. But my hubby gave a very short answer so I jumped in and give a more detail answer. I told him I felt intimidated by not having a lawyer but he told me that only we know our story no lawyer can explain how the relationship evolved and some get up to 5 RFE with lawyer and we manage to get none without a lawyer so I was optimistic. He asked me my parents name, if our joint sponsor was my hubby dad and if I lost a passport and I told him yes I did in 2010 and explain him how it happened. He asked me the yes, No questions of the I-485 and the said he was going to approve the I-130 I offer him the documents I prepare for the interview but he didn't wanted them, he said I send enough documents, he didn't want to see the photo Album. Then he asked me if I knew the next step because my marriage was less than 2 years and I answer I knew I had to fill the I-751 and he said yes, and told me if after 3 years of permanent residence in the US I'm still married to my hubby I can apply for naturalization instead of waiting for 5 years. And he said that tomorrow when he have more time he will review our case but he was most likely going to approve us. My hubby thank him and he escorted us out, we was talking about visiting Disney as our anniversary is the 9th of December but to Epcot and he said he doomed to go to the magic kingdom because he have small children's. I'm very grateful to this site and specially to God for a nice IO. Today my status show card is being produced.

Good luck to every one✌️

Don't worry Judefabolous if she didn't said the words "I need you to have a second interview" I'm sure you are approved. Give it some time, my IO said he could only take 45 minutes which each couple and sometimes he wished it was more and he also said that they have a lot of cases to work on before the holidays.

I'm sure you are ok.

Hello everyone,

A bit late with my update, but here it is: got home last Saturday (11/28), after having been away visiting the in-laws for Thanksgiving. Green card was sitting there in the mailbox!!

Thus ends my journey for now. I'll have to do the next step 2 years from now.

Many thanks to everyone on here for all their help - this would have been so much harder and more stressful without several people's input and guidance. Thank you all, and very best of luck with the remainder of your journeys! I'll still check back on here every now and then to see if I can help anyone out.
