Planned Parenthood was part of what was called the Eugenics Society, which their main purpose was to rid society of people who were deemed "genetically inferior."

Ok, I see the disconnect.

I don't think so, in the terms of affects, it's a drop in the bucket. From my own opinion, I think the distrust comes from decades of mistreatment. Honestly, in this country we've always been treated like we really don't belong. I'll wager every black person in the US can tell you what that's like. Going to the doctor is kind of a toss up. You got folks who only want black doctors because they don't trust white ones based on the belief they won't treat them the same as a white patient. On the flip side, you got black people who won't go to a black doctor based on the belief they're not equally qualified as a white one.

I hope this clears things up.

People in general are less willing to go to the doctor because the insurance system only works for people with deep pockets. The choice to either buy food or their prescription medication for the week is a very real one for many low income Americans. Edited August 14, 2015 by Venkman

Alabama police are outraged after photos of a detective beaten bloody by a suspect who stole his gun during a traffic stop were shared by witnesses and praised on social media.

The suspect, 34-year-old Janard Cunningham, is charged with attempted murder for allegedly assaulting the six-year veteran following a traffic stop at a shopping center in Roebuck around 11am Friday.

The plainclothes detective, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital for treatment after the assault but has since been released and is recovering at home.

Birmingham Police Chief AC Roper added: "This incident underscores the danger that our officers and others experience every day.

'I think about the recent murders of the Memphis and Shreveport police officers and recognize we too could have lost an officer today.

Cunningham previously pleaded guilty to an assault charge in 2006 and was also charged with attempted murder in 2004 before that case was dismissed, ABC 3340 reported.
