which is faster: mother` permanent resident petition for son over 21 or brother` us citizen` petition for brother?

my mother is a lawful permanent resident now and I want to petition for my brother who still lives outside the united states. is it possible to tell which way will be faster : mother petition for son who is older than 21 or brother `US citizen` petition for brother who is over 21 ? thank you in advance.

Unless he's born in Mexico, in which case F4 (sibling) is actually faster than F2B (adult child of permanent resident).

other people said it is the other way around.

Timeline

LPRs cannot file for married children. If the child marries while a petition from an LPR parent is pending it voids the petition.

In that case wait for the parent to become a USC or file as a sibling. Or both.

based on your timeline, you could have filed for your sibling when you filed for your mom

it is better for you to file, because your mom just got here and has to wait 5 years to become a USC, then a petition for married children take over 10 years

so the wait will be over 15 years

while if you file for him or her, the wait is over 12 years, so it's faster if you file
