glenmar is going home in a few days to visit family. It will be the first time since arriving here more than 2 1/2 years ago. So yesterday we had an infopass appointment and got a stamp on the passport...just in case. Today the GC arrived so didn't need the stamp after all.

So the visajourney continues. See ya'll down the road in the citizenship forum. Ya'll take care now.

I'm starting to feel anxious I havent received any mail and I couldn't check status online. So if I haven't done e- request I cannot check status online right? for people who receive email update do u received the physical mail also? I'm waiting everyday now to check my mail and I just can't stop thinking about it. I've checked the June and July fliers and they got approved to about 80% then stop and that makes me worry even more.

You are not alone we are also feeling a little stress at this point. All though the process up to this point everything has always went very smooth and in a timely or early than expected manner up until now. I had planned to travel this summer but don't feel good about traveling with an expired greencard.

We are starting to feel the same. Unfortunately, we couldn't file 90 days before the GC expired and ended up being a day late. I really hope we can overcome that. That's what is worrying me the most. I can check our case status online, but I keep thinking what if I miss something. When I first started seeing approvals I was excited, but now I'm getting that worried feeling. :huh2::huh2::mellow:

I don't think you guys need to freak out yet: I've been thinking that July filers haven't been updating their timelines; the fact that our timelines have been moving pretty fast these couple of weeks but no one from July was too surprised about that indicates that it's probably them that haven't been active on VJ.

If you haven't filed any phone inquiry and/or e-request, you probably want to do so, but before September filers are being approved in big batches, I believe CSC is just still catching up...

I don't think you guys need to freak out yet: I've been thinking that July filers haven't been updating their timelines; the fact that our timelines have been moving pretty fast these couple of weeks but no one from July was too surprised about that indicates that it's probably them that haven't been active on VJ.

If you haven't filed any phone inquiry and/or e-request, you probably want to do so, but before September filers are being approved in big batches, I believe CSC is just still catching up...

You are not alone we are also feeling a little stress at this point. All though the process up to this point everything has always went very smooth and in a timely or early than expected manner up until now. I had planned to travel this summer but don't feel good about traveling with an expired greencard.

July 2015 filer here for Vermont. There was just an update dated January 31, 2016 that Vermont is working on ROC for April 13, 2015, so a little closer to us. We are anxious here as well. Really hoping to hear something soon.

Hi, everyone. I initially submitted my application with CSC. We moved overseas and changed my application address to one of the states that VSC is in charge of. I think I got my address change letter that says my application will still be considered by CSC. Right now I am still outside the states. I plan to go back in early April after staying a bit less than six months outside the country. I hope I don't have a problem entering. I absolutely have to work another month here and am worried about getting some kind of notice like an interview request. In case I do get an interview request, is there any way to reschedule it? How many weeks do they give you before notifying the interview? Will I have no problem going back?

A little bit less than 6 months overseas is kinda pushing the limit, you should have applied for an Advance Parole to be safe, but it truly depends on how strict the border officer is when you enter.

When you submitted the Change of Address, did you indicate that you were going to live abroad for a while, meaning providing a foreign residence address and a domestic C/O mailing address? If not, there could be a few problems. Whenever you change address, they want to make sure the couple still live together at the same address, so since you dont live at that domestic address, I assume neither of you can provide proof of living there; that alone could trigger an interview or at least an RFE. Also, if there were going to be an interview, and you never indicated you'd be living abroad for a while, would the interview officer consider that borderline lying? It's because in order to get a Green Card in general you also have to prove that you intend to make the U.S. your home; they don't want people to use Green Card as nothing but a visa with de-facto right of abode.

The interview can be re-scheduled at your request, but I don't think that should be your top concern at the moment.
