Is that from a source or your personal prediction? I hope they do six weeks so that they get at least all January filers in!

Hi everybody. I just filed for i-130 for my wife. I am a LPR. I received a letter indicating my receipt number and priority date from USCIS. Whatis the next step, how long does each step take?

Welcome to visa journey. Your journey has just begun. It takes anywhere between 4-7 months or longer depending on your service center to be approved. Next steps is migration from uscis to NVC. The NVC will process your case within 4-6 months depending on how long it will take for your pd to be complete. If you just applied i think you are looking at atleast 1.5 years of waiting since they are currently processing cases from December 2013.

This thread is for filers from January 2014. Search around the forums and I'm sure you'll find other filers with dates closer to yours. Good luck

How long nvc take to email me that they received my documents

In my case, it took them about 7 days from the scan date to send me an email saying they received my documents.
