There is an exhibit here in the windy city, Chicago IL, (even tho Im in Indiana). It has over 200 bodies on display. They are called plastinates. All of the people, of course, donated their bodies to science. They have the bodies in different positions showing different anatomical structures. They even had one with a lady 8 months pregnant. The even had a posting by her saying that her doctors warned her of the possibility of not livng thru the pregnancy. There was another one, a man, holding his own skin! I though it was pretty amazing. When it came here last year, I went 3 times. I planned it as a "trip" for my medical assisting/phlebotomy class. I am going again before I go to see my husband.

Has anyone been to see this exhibit at your local area if its come to your town? If so, what do you think about it? Morally, ethically??

I've seen pictures. It's not for me .

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

The exhibit was here in Houston last year at the Museum of Natural Science. I tried to get my wife to go, but she is very superstitious about the dead. Stuff like that doesn't bother me. I never went to see it though.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

Would love to see that..

When I was in Scotland.. Glasgow.. I went to the forensic museum... I think it is also know as the Hunterian Museum at University of Glasgow.

The human body is simply amazing. If it wasnt for people that donate their bodies.. we would never have a clue to its true abilities or functions.. ***flashes back to anatomy class during our cadaver experiences..

Lai and I saw Body Worlds 3 in Vancouver this past December with Lai's niece and her mother-in-law. We found it quite awe-inspiring; for us it was clear evidence of the handiwork of God. I would see it again, given the chance, though I understand it is not for everyone.
