receive letter for interview but wrong consulate

hello VJ , I am asking this question for someone , she receive welcome letter from NVC BUT and it has wrong consulate mention in the letter . SPOUSE interview should be in islamabad Pakistan but letter says interview will be in new dehli india ,

please let me know what to do , calling nvc is not working , has any one else has same issue

We had the same issue, but they sent it to the London Embassy instead of the Islamabad Embassy. We had to request to move our case through the Islamabad Embassy via email. Once they approved the transfer they contacted the other Embassy to transfer the file. It was almost impossible to get a response from anyone at the Islamabad Embassy by phone or email as to whether they were approving the transfer or not, but about 2 months after our emailed request, we got a notice from them of the new file number starting with ISL

In OP's case they are just starting the NVC stage. Their case file is still with NVC, not with any consulate yet.

To OP, be proactive and call NVC soonish. It's just a typo error I think and should easily be addressed coz your file is still with them. Good luck.

Yes. As I stated before, they assigned us to the wrong embassy. We were told we would have to ask the Embassy we wanted our file moved to for a change of location and it was up to that Embassy to make the decision if they would take it or not. NVC did not care that they screwed it up. We had to wait for the paperwork to get to London then request the change. I hope you are correct and NVC will change it for them, but they would not do it for us.

Yes because immigrant visa chasers will spend several months dealing with NVC so there's more than enough time to fix the screw up unlike with K1 applicants.

It's fixable with NVC. Took us 2 month to make the transfer to the correct embassy. Sometimes the consulate has to request the transfer before NVC

will transfer it so email your embassy if NVC wants such a request.
