Now i know why i didnt receive any Noa1. My application was rejected.. seem like someone lost my cover page.

The rejection notice notice said =.. the application has not been fully completed, one or more of the following field were not completed

-Application type.

I sent the cover page and note: Nature of Submission:I-485 Application to register permanent resident or Adjust Status. Now, i am not sure if i am to reprent every form and resend along with the cover page. The forms are stamped with the date they were received. Any Advice please?

AOS Date Filed : 2015-05-27

Got rejection notice on May 29, 2015 for an incomplete application

Receive rejected application on June 6, 2015

Resubmit June 8, 2015

Delivered June 9, 2015

NOA Date : 2015-06-16

Bio. Appt. : 2015-07-06

EAD and AP Approved Date : 2015-08-14

Date Combo Card Received : 2015-08-21 (Received my card about 6hrs apart on the same day they sent an e-mail that they shipped my card).

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

On the form itself, did you check box c. in Part 2? That is the application type. It wouldn't matter what you put on the cover letter.

yes i did check box c, entered as a k-1 Fiance, but i didnt underline it. Should I?

I think i found the mistake, I check box j.

My question is, should i just redo the I-485 only since thats where the correction is to be made and also, they stapled everything seeminly the way they keep it on file. Should i remvove the staple and assemble all the paper work back together as i sent them first. Should I also put on the cover letter ''Resubmission'?

Just print new set of paper, double check, triple check and send it again. No need to note anything, cover letter is not required also.

So, just unstaple what USCIS did and put the application in order like the initial filing and resend it? I was thinking to just redo the I-485 since that is the form the correction will be made to.

Yes, correct everything and send them off immediately to save time. Proofread each forms many times to avoid RFE. Good luck.

So happy I made duplicate copies of everything, now just to correct the I-485 and reprint. Honestly i feel sad :(

I will call customer service tomorrow before sending it off, will confirm if i can just make necessary correction and return the package to USCIS as it was received from them.

Yes, just redo the I-485 and check box c. Recheck everything else to be safe, and then send it all back.

Thanks guys. It was my error, guess i didnt read through properly before ticking. I will resubmit tomorrow and pray for no RFE. Unlike the I-129f process i had no glitch whatsoever, I wish Adjusting my status will be the same after my resubmission.
