Advise for Jamaican or anyone who get professional passport photos in ur country

As a Jamaican I had the worst experience at cvs for passport size pics. Even tho the picture maybe the right size 2by2 the pic in my case came out looking like a mug shot, it was the lady at the cashier who took a ordinary camera and snap me. My shoulders are lean my eyes are in a different direction looking for what I do not know. Normally when I take a passport pic in Jamaica there is no shadow or blur in the back ground and the photographer ensure my face was straight and everything was ok. These people here just say stand in front of the white sheet and take ur pic and don't care if it's blurry or whatever!!! I crushed them right there and walked out... I have high expectation of paid service and I want it to be exceeded at all times... In my country we do not pay $11.99 for two passport pic we pay about $6 for 4 and I am sure Jamaican never have a complain about the results...

I had a pic from my duplicate I-129f that's what I took to Walgreens and ask them to scan and make copies of... Walgreen is just the same procedures as cvs. The store in my location that is.

The point is a pic say a thousand words and if u want ur pics on ur green card etc to be clear and not something u will be pissed about remembering a bad experience getting them taken.. Please just take them before you come here... But if u don't mind getting some mediocre pic that looks sh!!!ty at $11 per pair you will be ok.

This is just me venting...

I took my picture with my own camera, as many times as I like till I satisfied.

Then size it to 2x2 using software and printed out in CVS.

Just let you know, your green card photo will be the picture taken during biometrics. ^_^

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

Good that the photo that will be use is the one taken at biometrics. These workers are pissed at customers for no reason especially when they realise you are an immigrant... They better know they have another thing coming there way thinking they can give us whatever the plz... :)

As much as I was disappointment with the pictures, it was more of the service provided that pissed me off and I was even so nice to the lady allowing her to go cash other customers while I stood there waiting for her to continue assisting me. Well good for them or anyone who's against me.. Just happy I could come here and vent how I felt this afternoon. I'm much better now... I am used to quality service and expected much better here.

I had my passport pictures taken at Walgreens and Rite Aid for my passport. They came out just fine. The worker even made sure it looked good and said she would take another if I didn't like it. Maybe you caught them on an off day or an employee not yet experienced enough. Sorry you had a bad experience. I went with my fiance to get his passport pics taken in JA and your're right it is very different. Probably won't be the first difference you encounter differences here! Hope it gets better for you!
