To my surprise I received a letter today from NVC. It was my understanding that they do not always send out letters so I wasn't expecting any paper correspondence from NVC. All it was, was just a letter confirming that they received my approved I-129F and that they are now forwarding it to the Paris US Embassy. Also explained that the transfer process can take several weeks and refers me to their website nvc.state.gov/k1 and of course listed my USCIS receipt number and the newly assigned case number.

Thank you, it was a bit stressful there, seeing so many people sail through NVC and wondering if our case was lost or something as silly as that, unfortunately, through the process, one gets a bit paranoid if things tend to drag on etc.

We got packet 4 from MTL June 5, which is almost exactly two months from NOA 1. I'm shocked that it is all happening THIS fast (and I feel guilty considering what the TSC folks are going through!)

My medical and interview is booked (July 6 and July 31). I am starting to freak out a little. I have been trying to not get ahead of myself & I know there are many things still that could hold this process up but it's so strange to realize that this is ACTUALLY going to happen. and so soon! Starting to feel sad about the people and places in Canada I will leave behind...

We received our NOA2 2 on June 1 (NOA1 was April 16), and I knew it was probably too early for NVC to have a case number but I called anyway.

On my 13th call to 603-334-0700 at 2:30 Eastern Standard Time I was successful getting into the queue, and after waiting 34 minutes I was talking to a human. She asked for my case number and then asked for my NOA2 date. As expected, no case number yet and I was told I it would take up to 35 days from my NOA2 date. She also told me I would be notified by email if they had my email address, otherwise I would be notified by mail.

This is the first I've heard about email notification from NVC. Has anyone received an email notification from NVC?

So I gave in and called the NVC today right at 7:00 AM and got through to a human named ANN who was nice but sad to say they do not have my case number. I was told the usual wait 35 day speech. I asked about email and text notification and she was not aware the NVC did that. The only notifications she knew of was sending notifications out in the mail.
