Hi Nicole11,

Thats good news for you. Not the minimum 60 days they stated in our confirmation later after they recieved our paperwork.

If you dont mind me asking, what exactly is the scan date. I see it all the time here on VJ but still haven;t found out what it is. The day NVC received the package from USCIS?

Suzanne -

The scan date is the date NVC received documents (AOS / IV). It states 60 days, but currently they say about 30. I received this email:

*CASE NUMBER*

08-MAY-15

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 04-MAY-15.

We are currently receiving an increased number of approved petitions from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. As a result, we are experiencing increased review times for documents received.

We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the review of your documents. We will notify you when we review your documents.

We are working to reduce these processing times and we appreciate your patience.

Was able to speak with the NVC and was told that because of the website issue, the DS-260 isn't appearing online even for people that paid by mail. Our fee was received on May 15th (based on a confirmation e-mail they sent us) and yet the CEAC portal shows unpaid.

If anyone was able to fill the DS-260 in the past 2 weeks, let us know how!

LOL, Jippie!! It's the little things that count ;p

I was looking at your timeline, I can't believe your I130 approval was in december last year -ours was february this year- but we are at exactly the same point in this process.

Their order of processing cases makes no sense at all.

Saylin,

Do we need to send any employment documents and academic documents? Sorry for this silly question, I ve gone through the DS-260 samples. In that they were asking all this info right, so do they ask proof for this? I completed DS-261, how long will it takes to get the fee?

Hi Sivin,

As long as NVC does note specifically asks you for these documents, you don't have to send them.

We sent in our AOS and IV package and called to verify if all was ok. We didn't send any employment or acedemic documents. NVC said its all there and the ONLY document they need is DS-260. So, ONLY ducument. No mention of the academic or employment docs.

When you call them everyday, do they say anything about using a particular browser or browser version? at one point I'm just starting to question everything ?

It's always a good idea to use the latest Internet Explorer version when using government websites. They tend not to test their sites in browsers except for IE, so some things may not work in other browsers.

For the beneficiary, no, those documents aren't needed for IR-1/CR-1 visa applicants.

My SD is April 21 and I still haven't had my case reviewed. The lady I spoke to said they are working "around" 30 days, and that the review should happen "any day now". If you case enters supervisor review it can take up to 42 days for a supervisor to look at it. At this point I think you're better off waiting for them to review your case. It should happen very soon. We're lucky we don't have to wait the 60 days they were quoting just a few months ago. :)

i know that we're lucky, but its so hard to hang in sometimes :(

it comes in waves for me, i can go a couple days feeling positive and beeing happy about 30 days instead of 60 and then i just slide into this hopeless feeling and start checking the ceac site every couple minutes, today is one of this days again

last week i called nvc and she told me that my CC should be coming up today, so i went through the long weekend hoping and praying but today the rep also told me something like "30 days is average" and i cant expect it after 30 days...im just crushed now, i know it will pass and one day it will happen and i will be with my hubby but right now i almost cant bear the loneliness...
