Wohooooo! Got my NVC case number. 25 days post NOA-2, so on the longer side. Not working on CEAC yet, but another step done. Waiting for package three now.

oh the joy of trying to reach the NVC - third time listening to their on hold music, and I have yet to talk to an actual human. The other calls just dropped and then I had to recall and recall and recall... you get the idea lol

What are you people using for calling? I am in Europe so am using Skype. What are there for other options that have worked for you?

Call them before the openining hours quickly..and recall immediately if the line drops......and you might get lucky...

If your fiancè in the USA make him/her call the NVC at 6am ish...

Yeah, thats what I did - called at 6:58, it dropped, called back and I was in the hold line on my second try. Only the called dropped on me after 10 mins on hold. Dont know why. Then it took me forever to get back into the queque. Then it happened again. Third time was the charm and I got to talk to a person.

So it took me longer than it could have, but I got my case number in the end and was told my case was sent to the embassy 6 days ago. No more complaining from my end ;-)

Now waiting for the embassy to contact me.

I have already gotten my passport and the envelope!

Everything is gonna be fine and smooth ... ;)

In my case the only bad thing was the waiting between an exam and the other at medical but all went well.

Next Friday I'll be on a plane ...

I found a good deal one way only and I have 2:40 hrs between connection... I guess it's enough!! right??

(There were no other options from my airport unless I would have done 4 stops and a 38-hr journey instead of "just" 11).

as long as there are no strikes or *really* severe weather thats plenty of time. Where are you connecting?

The fewer stops the better, and a shorter trip is also preferable! I have flown to MD many times (from Europe). Sounds like you found a really good connection to only have 11 hours.

And I'm connecting in Philadelphia :) I have direct flight from where I live to there and then PHL - BWI that takes like 30mins. :)

Good luck with your paperwork!! Hope they send it out fast!!!
