Visa Journey helped me find an error on the AOS in February 2015. In March 2015 I was also able to help my spouse get the correct birth records required by NVC by reading the Nigerian thread on Visa Journey.

April 2, 2015- Case is in Supervisor Review because the DS260 form was sent electronically January 6, 2015 but hasn't been reviewed as of yet.

April 17, 2015- I finally have the 3rd N/A next to the Affidavit of Support fee. I spoke to a supervisor yesterday (Thursday). She told me she would have the case reviewed by the end of the week. It looks like she kept her word. I will call again tonight to confirm case complete :)

April 17, 2015- CONFIRMED CASE COMPLETE

June 18, 2015- Interview

July 01 , 2015- CEAC Status Shows Issued

July 03, 2015- Welcome to USA!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought using the above with your case number and getting a status of "in transit" is a way of finding out whether it's left the NVC...

Now chronicling my experience in handy blog format at

Yes this is documented in the 1st post in he thread I listed. However there's no tracking until you have interview date. And the status tracker really is best because even though packages leave everyday from NVC there is no guarantee what you see is yours.

Those packages leaving are also K1's and reaffirm petitions.

They used to send a letter, but no more.

Take the time, call!

Most people would be delighted to call..,., take advantage.

Call late or early, it took me 45 minutes, on speed dial, then 30 minute wait.

Just do it, get your number assignment. You will need it.

Good luck, just take the time.
