To the VJ community:

As Valentine’s Day dawns on us and for those of us separated from our loved ones, I wanted to toast our love for our significant others and the very fact that each of us are ready to endure the pain of being apart for so long is nothing but a testament for the love and commitment we have for each other.

Cheers and Happy Valentine’s Day to all.

 Cheers to you, Nimble for such an eloquent and touching post! Happy Valentine's Day to all! (L)

Happy Valentine's Day TOO! Although we may be apart from our loved ones here is what my fiancee and I did last year and will do again tomorrow. It was a last minute surpise I had thought of. I had her rent the same DVD Movie from her local video store ( Return to Me last year jejejje) that I had already rented. After my future son was put to bed I called her by phone using the cheap calling cards that last me forever. We syncronized starting the movie together and watched it like if we would had we been out on a date. We talked, she cried and laughed the rest of the night away! I can not tell you how nice it was; we just need a little imagination and a whole lot of Love!! It was the first time she had seen that movie and it's one of our favorites now. Months later when I visited her we watched it together..... :crying:

So you see one could be romantic regardless of the long distance seperation (L) !!

Cheers Nimble & akatagirl! Happy V-Day!!

My Tiger has been unable to email or phone me for 3 days because he was in a village with no mobile/internet service, and I got the sweetest email from him saying he was exhausted from the bus ride(if you have ever been on a long-distance ride in the mountains on a local bus in Nepal, India, etc. you know what it's like...) but he ran to the cyber cafe as soon as he got back into town because he knew I was missing him and he wanted to wish me a happy Valentine's Day... to me that's the sweetest gift he could give me, much nicer than a Hallmark card, a $9.95 bouquet from the store or a box of chocolates... Even though we are far apart I am not crying because I know with God's blessing we will have many Valentine's Days together but I will always remember this one... (L)

HAPPY VALENTINES EVERYONE! My David called me up already... It was hard talking about the things we should be doing in this special day because we're thousands of miles away from each other. I know that he's heart was breaking when I was crying :crying: . Couldn't help it because I should be right there by his side. Let's all hope that this will be the last Valentines Day that we will celebrate far away from our loved ones. And to those who's lucky being with their SOs... (L)(L)(L) Enjoy your time together!

To those of you still waiting, hang in there. I am about to celebrate my second Valentine's Day with my sweetheart. The candy, flowers and card are at work waiting for her in the morning. I remember being in your place and just want to say that you will be celebrating many wonderful days in the near future. Love is in the air.

to make sure i will be the first one to greet my honey on valentine's, i called him 12MN philippine time february 14...though we are thousand miles apart hearing each other's voice ease the loneliness we have in our hearts. just a simple " I LOVE YOU", "TAKE CARE" means a lot to everyone who is in love. hopefully, this will be the last year we will celebrate such important event being apart. we will just make up with the lost time we had when we are finally together.
