I can't quite believe it, but my day has finally arrived. Picked up my passport, visa and BWE this morning from the courier. POE is Houston TX, this Sunday (I had booked a flight previously and just brought it forward for an extra charge). I cannot wait!

Fantastic turnaround by the embassy considering my interview was just this past Monday at 8am. 4 days receipt!

Thank you all very much for your help and good luck to those of you still jumping through these hoops. AOS and all the other shebang awaits us next.

congratulations and welcome to the States!!

Thanks for the info Jeff. Did Tanya get here yet?

No problem Rush, I hope you are making some headway. Yes, she got here on Friday, it's been great so far :) Customs folks seemed to be real nice to her and I didn't have to wait too long for her to come out.

I made it! :)

POE was not without hassle, but I think this was down to it being a busy time to fly in. I was stuck in a room (and honestly felt a bit like a criminal) for 3 hours before I was seen. The actual process took about 2 mins, so all that waiting for that... not what you really need after an 11 hr flight, but alas, I made it and all is well and very relieved to be reunited with my fiance.

I need to get going on my SSN next and then we're getting married next month. Exciting times!

That's good to hear Rush! Glad things are on track, albeit the slow one. The consulates are usually more efficient and accessible, from my experience anyway, but they are all different. Good luck and I hope to hear she is here soon. Happy holidays!
