Well, ya see young feller, it's like this. When I goes to eat pizza in a UK pizza joint, I expect that a brit will be the one preparing it. However, it is entirely in the realm of possibility that the pizza joint is simply owned by a brit who found a couple of New York pizza pie makers to work in the kitchen. Now, since it's a big wide world out there, I will try their pizza at least one time. If the brit waiter fails to carry my beer glass from the bottom, I will forgive his britishASS and send it back for another. If the pizza pie ain't good, I will go out into the big ole wide world and find me another pizza joint. If the brit starts trying to push his lib politics on me while I'm eating his pizza pie, well then, I will slap him right in the face with a hot cheesy and saucy slice and tell him to get the hell away from me. Why? Well, because it's a big ole world out there, that's why! And, because I can. So there!

A business owner is perfectly entitled to refuse service to someone who is rude or abusive. Especially in the UK.

But you're right, this sort of situation tends to be an American phenomenon. This sort of controversy doesn't have the pulling power over here than it does in the USA.

It is of course good for unintentional comedy. The story about the racist baker in Brooklyn a few years ago was hilarious. A real life Seinfeld episode right there.

Dude, you're having problems with cognitive deficiency. It's a common problem that should not be mocked however. Remember, the pizza house in Indiana, and the sweet young woman who had a microphone shoved in her face did NOT refuse service to anyone. So, what happened instead? Stay with me now, keep up:

She was presented with a hypothetical scenario and asked whether she would be willing to provide catering services to a gay couple. Her answer, NO! Now, had she refused to provide service to a customer entering her restaurant because they were gay, then it could be argued that it was discrimination. However, if the gay couple didn't wear shirts and shoes in the restaurant, then she can refuse to serve them for being in violation of health code. However, if they were a british gay couple, without shirt and shoes, they would be accepted.

Here in the US you see, you cannot force someone to cater and attend your private gay party if they object to being there on religious grounds.

This again illustrates how leftists, who preach “tolerance” yet are completely intolerant of anyone who holds a different view, will immediately resort to authoritarianism and censorship when they are losing the debate.
