I judge people by the type of person they are, not the God they worship. If you're a good person then we're cool, if you're not then don't let the door hit you in the behind. Simple really.

Cool. Perhaps the people of America should identify the perfect path in life, and those who deviate from that perfect path will not be allowed to eat pizza.

Same. Hell, I've even let priests bless my atheistic gay self without complaint because they were cool people and that was how they expressed caring. I even let one bless my DOG once. Heck, my atheistic gay self actually works in a church and chills with the minister most days. I even stopped a guy from burning down the church.

Of course, the church I work at, their ministry is social justice, equality for all and helping the homeless and poor. They're pretty amazing.

I have much less patience for the people who come to my door and knock and knock until I answer, thinking it must be some kind of emergency, then they tell me they're planning a block party and hand me an invite to a planning meeting and I thank them and they head out and then I look closer at the invitation and it's actually an invitation to go to church. I don't like sneaky people who try conversion by lying. And I have zero tolerance for people who would proclaim hatred of a group for the sake of making money, which is what the folks in the OP almost certainly did.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.

A local tv station decided to just start walking into pizza places and asking them, preposterously, if they would sell pizza (?) to a gay wedding ...

They had nothing to do with the go fund me account.

It is America however, and people are allowed to agree and disagree. If any level of intolerance threatens another, there are laws that enable them to be prosecuted in criminal or civil court. For those who don't like a church, or their neighbors, they are provided the freedom to go next door. Discrimination against anyone is not allowed in America. It's just not. However, it also should not be allowed to force people of faith to participate in gay parties and activities to which they may object.

Simple response that a pizza place obviously doesn't cater weddings would have sufficed. Of course, that simple answer would not have raised a half a million dollars from American bigots.

Buy your way to heaven - the most successful business case in the last 2000 years....

Seeing most Christians break all of the rules on their own list while pointing the fingers at others, Gays are an easy target. A good number of the "Christians" I've known in my lifetime are the some of the worst people you'd ever want to know, but they sit in the front row at church every Sunday and drop a ten spot in the collection box, so all is well.

God had different plans. God oftentimes manifests Herself in greenbacks... There were sightings on Rodeo Dr...

Wherever God is, he isn't answering the phone. However, it's reported that leftist bigots have managed to make a connection to an alternative god who will allow for the right to pursue leftist happiness while forcing Christians into internment camps.

Yes, I used to be. Hopefully something positive can emerge from all the hate being expressed on both sides of this argument. There are crazy religious zealots out there who are killing people at this very moment in the name of their religion. There are also crazy religious zealots who want to force feed their beliefs upon others. However, there are even more good religious people in America who embrace and distribute and manifest the true "fruits of the spirit" upon others as intended.
