My CC March 12 and I am still waiting too. Since I been waiting so long I contacted my congressman and put in a expedite request to NVC last week. Today they told me that the Kingston Embassy has the request. Right now I'm waiting to see if it helps things move a little faster for me. I hope we all get our interview dates soon. Jah know ... Mi tired!!!

I wish you luck! Or CC was February 17. I have been trying to expedite since the day our case got to the NVC, we were expedited at USCIS, because my grandfather is very ill, but the Embassy did not care. Everytie my grandfathers condition worsens, I request expedite, they just deny, deny, deny. I requested again when my husband found out he was being called back to active duty with the Egyptian army, they denied that one also. I hope Kingston is more compassionate than Cairo. Even with having my senators and congressman involved, we still got nowhere.

I know this question may have been asked already but can you let me know how you went about completing your expedite request since we have the same embassy. My cc was 4/9 but based on what I am seeing with the Kingston Embassy I should expect a long wait and looking into an expedite.

You send the expedite request to

NVCexpedite@state.gov... Include case number ...the petitioners Name & phone;

Beneficiary Name; D.O.B, and two phone numbers for the petitioner as well as your phone number. Then include your reason for requesting your case to be expedited.

Thank you for posting what you learned today. Disappointing, but not surprising (theme of my visa journey!)

Hopefully, when dates are released, they will still come within that 56 day average (so although we wait anxiously for interview scheduling, we aren't waiting longer for the interview??). I am going to start to get my documents organized, just in case I need to drop everything and go to Montreal (said optimistically).

i just spoke with a nvc rep and he said very specifically it is the embassy that is not scheduling interviews. his words were....'all your paperwork is ready to go, we a just waiting on the embassy to release the dates to us". i asked if i could contact someone at the embassy in montreal to get things rolling and his reply was 'i wish there was someone for you to contact, but unfortunately there isn't, there is nothing we can do until the embassy let's us know.' i told him the embassy hasn't done scheduling in a month as i have a friend who has been waiting since March 23 (which is fact....some Canadians have been waiting that long) and he didn't deny this, he was understanding and encouraged patience. he went on to say there are max number of interviews each month that embassies can book and for each visa type there is also a max. gosh, i really hope when nvc gets the go ahead they consider date of cc.

but oh :idea::idea: , maybe nvc is thinking.....we'll all carpool and their going to schedule us all on the same day! now wouldn't that be fun!!!

Very very doubtful that we'll see a 56 day average. I'm at 28 days. To be within 60 days, even, I'd have to get an interview scheduled on Friday May 22nd. May is full, so my barest minimum will be 70 days, if I get an appointment for June 1st. That'll certainly skew the average upwards drastically.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.

Ah yes, a VJ road trip to Montreal! Good times. With the amount of people going, could charter a bus. As it is, I'm sure calling out VJ handles while in the queue that morning would be certain to turn a few heads. Even though buddy @ NVC said that the consulate has a set number of immigration interviews per month, they are beginning to pile up rapidly. Consulate is either going to have to add a few more slots, or risk scheduling months in advance.

(PD and WJ will have another seat sale. I've also found that AC tends to lower prices to match PD, but not necessarily call it a sale.)

Other measures of central tendency from the spreadsheet (Cdn data only) for CC until interview -

Average - 54 days, Median - 51 days, Mode - 54 days

Std Deviation - 15 days (minimum wait was 19 days and max was 115 - yikes)

So, based on these 114 data points, 54 +/- 15 is average. That's 69 days, which matches your June 1st possibility.

There's a pile of folks with CC June-August 2013 who waited 75-92 days for their interview. Perhaps there was a similar backlog situation then? DWHEELS, would you remember?

I suppose I shouldn't waste my time crunching numbers from all angles. My partner likes to remind me that "we'll get the interview date when we do". It's been about 15 months all told already....

mrs thb, please contact the Embassy here and explain: http://canada.usembassy.gov/contact/public-inquiry-form.html

I had the same problem and using this form helped! Problem solved in 2 days.

Also, those who have CC and wait for P4, go ahead and do your medical exams, and if possible send them to the Embassies. This may help.
