Progress thread for TSC filers now between NVC and Interview Stage

Deborah, despite the lack of answers from London, I think your conclusion of what has happened is the most logical in your case. It's the same reason why NVC says they are open until midnight but decide to pack it in usually around 11 anyway. It's a Friday, and I could see that your case could end up in the backlog, if someone wanted to get home soon, or if the system literally wouldn't let them do anything with the visa. Clearly, whatever happened, happened on that Monday (or even over the weekend). By the time they stumbled into work to take care of it, they couldn't.

It certainly bothers me the lack of answers and the slow nature in fixing for this problem. Their manner of prioritizing is troubling too. No offense, but I don't know why those temporary migrant visas got lumped in with humanitarian reasons. As for the 22 posts back online and why they won't say whom it is (though I have heard whom it is, and.... well... I'll be kind and bite my tongue) this probably has to do with some internal lobbying or diplomatic pandering to get those posts back first. They wouldn't want to admit it publically, because there would be even more annoyed people... putting it mildly.

We only have their word to go on that it is a tech fault rather than something else.

Yeah exactly my thoughts. I just wish they would've told me. I hope that they update soon and more posts are fixed today.

Ok so I'm not sure what's going on now. My case creation date just changed to today and now it is non-immigrant. which Iknow they normally do that right before AP/Issue so we should get it issued in the next day or so. But that either means A they didn't mess up my date on mine but I doubt that honestly or B that London is back up and running. Which I think is the more likely of the situation. So hopefully that is good news for you guys too! I'll keep you posted.

That sounds hopeful. Ours changed creation date and to non immigrant, then went to AP and then issued. Fingers crossed for you, my friend x

Yes and at this point hopeful is what I need. Do you remember how long it took from this point for you guys? *I'm hoping it'll be a tad quicker since they are trying to clear cases. But they probably don't control that part.

And on a different better note how are you guys? I hope all is great for you x

Oooh. Let's hope good things coming your way!

Thank you. And honestly I hope it is good news for us all. I know the limbo waiting feeling is hard on us all

Thank you and for you guys as well. If I hear anything or see anything change I will let you guys know. That's the worst part about all this is lack of communication

Congrats! So your Creation date changed? Our Status update changed today but not the Creation date. Hopefully still means things are moving forward.

No offense, but I don't know why those temporary migrant visas got lumped in with humanitarian reasons.

Those 750 Mexicans have been cleared by security before. Most, probably year after year. American farmers are depending on the labor to get their ripening crops harvested before they lose them. It's an economic crisis to American food production. They travel every year on a schedule to harvests across the US. Texas Rio Grande Valley northward. Southern California northward.

Well I know from previous people that if the creation date changes and then goes to a non-immigrant then it moves to AP/Issued cause sometimes you don't even ssee the AP if it is short. Normally in a day or a few days. So hopefully good news for us all.

Sorry to them but there are plenty of people in American that can harvest some crops. Not saying what they did was right or wrong. I'm just pointing out that they are not the only people in need of a job that could do it. I was raised on a farm and we had 12 acres and we did it all ourselves. It can be done.

Understood. But quite frankly, I tend to think that people picking crops should be a little lower down on the list than people in war-torn or poverty countries and adoptions out of often terrible conditions. I also think that people that have been made to wait for an extremely long time should be thought of too. I don't like the implication that it's sort of just about money for the government and losses for companies/farmers who make money off of people not working in the best conditions or being paid a good wage. But.. I'll dive off the soapbox for now... it's a general frustrated with the system thing.
