Quick question.

My fiance filled in the I-134 in May when we were last together. And got a letter from her employer stating her title and salary. She has just received a promotion (change of both title and salary), should we fill out the form again and get a new letter from her employer? Not sure if it's necessary, her previous salary satisfied the legal requirements so it makes no difference really. If anyone has any insight, it is much appreciated.

Congrats on the promotion to your fiancee!! BTW, we're leaving for our honeymoon the same day you are. We're going to the Pacific though... Hawaii!!

we got approved! :dancing:

im not gonna lie was possibly the most boring experience waited for three hours and only spoke to people for ten minutes

got asked what was my fiances name was and how did we meet and she asked to see my ring that was it lol

good luck for anyone else who's got it coming up soon.

id suggest taking in some water and something to eat because there was nothing there today and i was soo thirsty!

Congrats!!! Are they still doing afternoon appointments?

The London Embassy date changed today from the 20th June to the 13th July:

Fingers crossed for all whom have been waiting that we all get our packet 4's soon.

Getting far too nervous in whether my submission of readiness went through properly! Just could do with some certainty of having a date, I'm so done with all the uncertainty!

I believe you mean book the medical? You don't book the interview, you are given an interview date by the Embassy (normally by letter) after the medical and once the DS160 and readiness forms have been submitted.

Yes, I meant medical. Excited slip haha!

Can I start filling out the DS160 as soon as the CEAC case checker says its arrived in London or do I need to wait for the letter?

To be honest, I think so but I'm not sure! It's listed as the first thing that needs to be done on the instructions you'll get with the letter, though I know I put it off and did it the weekend before my medical. It's quite tedious, especially if you've made multiple trips to the USA. Apparently it used to ask for details of all trips to the USA within the past 5 years, now it asks for ALL your previous trips to the USA. In my case, trying to work out over 15 years the exact dates of travel and length of stays for multiple trips wasn't easy, though thankfully I had all my old passports and could go by the date stamps on those. I also used the date stamps on my digital photos from 2003 (when I got my first digital camera) as those helped me identify the dates needed.

I found the DS160 tedious to fill in, though not hard (plus you can save it at various stages and then go back to it).

Yep. Trying to work out not only the date of trips taken over 10 years but the estimated length of stay was ridiculous! Also, the education questions were totally overboard. Really, does the USA care that much about where you went to school?

Yah, do it!

I didn't really think it was that bad. I had a visit to London around that time so Daniel and I did it together. It took about 30 minutes I think, but he had already prepped his travel dates because I knew from this lovely site that he would need them. Then I just passed over the laptop for the education questions. The rest of it I could pretty much answer. Then he reviewed it and submitted it.

10 years? It's only 5 years requested on the form. I just checked my i94 online that gave me all the dates and stay duration: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html

Found out that my record is wrong for a flight I made 4.5 years ago showing I stayed in the US for a year when it was a couple of days, BA didn't submit my return flight correctly. The next time I entered the US the customs agent just put that days date as my leaving date making it look like I stayed in the US for over a year. I wondered why I got a whole bunch of questions the next couple of times I entered the US, just annoying! I asked them why I suddenly being taken in to the "naughty" room and getting the hold up but the customs officer said it was just "routine" so I didn't think anything of it. Never refused though and haven't been questioned the last few trips though so hopefully will be ok. Tried to get the ticket from BA but no luck. I have the old itinerary so I think I'll take that with me just in case I get asked.

So might be worth checking the i94 in any case!

Are you sure that's the case for the DS160? I distinctly remember reading that it now required ALL previous trips to the USA to be documented. Previously it was only the past 5 years. When did you submit your DS160?

21st June I submitted. Maybe I'm getting mixed up with list all the countries - was that the 5 year one?

I don't have any passports from prior to 6 years as the passport office disposed of the old one (even though I asked them not too) so I don't exactly have a choice anyhow

I just looked at my copy of the ds-160 we submitted. Trips to the US doesn't give date parameters so we listed all of them. Trips to other countries is for the last 5 years only.
