Very interesting that some of you who are from Texas and Alabama who are non Philippines are getting shifted to California. Last year they shifted a number of TSC applications in March, April and May to California. This is a sign the "Visa Gods" are smiling on you and that all of us may see expedited approvals. The charts last year say that when they did this it make the time from NOA1 to NOA2 go to 150 days for TSC applications.

This is a good trend and please any of you who read this who apply from Southern or Eastern states please let us know if you get shifted to CSC. THIS IS GOOD FOR ALL OF US!

I am from Richmond Virginia, so I already knew I was getting TSC. Then I received the email and text message with my case number starting with WAC, and even the email stated it was being routed to California Service Center. So I guess they are releasing some of the workloads from TSC and sending them over to CSC. I will continue to update the progress as it happens.

Hmm...not transferring older cases such as mine to TSC would not reduce the average processing times - given that they do not seem to be speeding up processing of I-129Fs - if that is the goal. The backlog is after all still there.

We shall see. I have no issue with waiting, but I have an issue with having to wait 7 or 8 times (30 days vs 220 days CSC vs TSC) simply because we filed from a different state. We have paid the same fees and are being discriminated against due to location. The overarching goal should be to have roughly equal processing times at both centers - whatever they end up being and hopefully within the 5month published time frame.

I really hope I won't still be here 4 months from now waiting for my approval...though I very much fear this will be the case. Since I joined these boards, TSC filers could consider themselves lucky if they got an NOA-2 under 7 months with a steady increase in processing times whereas CSC files have decreased to less than a month on average. Again, laws of averages means there will be lucky filers who get there quickly and unlucky filers who have to wait way longer. Worst case I have seen is someone waiting 11 months for NOA-2 - a March 2014 filer who only just got out of the TSC hellhole. This cannot be fair when some CSC filers manage to get their visas inside 4 months.

Some of them that filled on the same date were lucky to be routed to CSC. its different from being routed and being transferred. We will wait and see, it probably takes time for them to do the transfer. I am sure they are not transferring new fillers from TSC to CSC, just some of them were lucky to be routed when they filled. When I first filled for 129f on December I got a WAC but then they returned my petition for improperly filling, when i sent it back again after a few days with the same receipt number they changed it to SRC and it said it was being routed to TSC. Just wait until next week and we will see that they will transfer some old cases.

Improper filing? What were you missing if you don't mind me asking?

My fiance was living in a dorm by the time we filled the petition. The mailing address was really long and we could not fit it in the field "Your mailing address" so we decided to attach a paper and write down the address as some folks on Vj suggested. When USCIS picked up our petition we got a WAC case number but they returned it back to us to refill , but when we submitted the petition again with the 797c notice , they changed our receipt number and gave us a SRC.

I just found this thread...been feeling lonely after sending everything off, like staring into a black hole of uncertainty. In any case, sent in the package Feb. 28 and received the NOA1 text message on March 6 (the paper copy came about a week later). Hard to believe it's been a month since mailing it in.

I hope this doesn't become a problem with my application. I currently live in a residence hall, but I listed my permanent address as my parent's house (where I live while not at school) and attached all my residence hall addresses, including the few months I've spent in each of them, as an addendum to the G-325A. I haven't heard anything since NOA1, so I hope that means whoever looked through our application had sense enough to see what I meant.

I am looking at April really resentfully. I want that month to go by so fast! Wondering if any of us March filers will be touched at CSC. Wondering if TSC is going to transfer their cases. Wondering if that will cause March filers to be delayed. Wondering, wondering, wondering. I am not looking forward to April - at least it's only 30 days.

Now May? That is what I want! Then, we will all have a good idea of how everyone's transfers are handled, how quickly those who have been waiting for longer than 5 months get their NOA2, and how many cases get transferred (if TSC keeps some of their petitions). Maybe by May, TSC will have some well trained adjudicators too???

C'mon April, get out of here! C'mon NOA2, find your way to everyone's mail boxes! The absence of the NOA2 is like a dark spot hovering over the heart of the petitioner. A family waiting to be made whole. Love waiting for the touch. Each step gets me closer - so April, please don't get in our way!!!!!

If you will check the processing time, they already processing the March 5, 2015 filers so I dont think CSC has slow down.

My understanding is that anything here on VJ is an estimate based on the most recent data available. So that would mean the processing time we can see is based on last month's data.

As much as I'd like to see USCIS agents post updates on VJ about which cases they are processing in real time, I don't see how it could be anything but an estimate.

Don't get me wrong, I do hope it has NOT slowed down.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Noz, I'm not sure if I understand your post.

The data on here is updated by us - the users (petitioners and beneficiaries). This site is not associated with USCIS. The USCIS site has estimated timelines, which are about two months behind.

But yes, the data is an estimate because if the users don't update or input incorrect data, we are limited by that. If a user does not come back and update when they received their NOA2, then it looks like they never did. They may have (especially those that have not been back on the site since 2014.)

Amhara, that's exactly what I am saying.

r&a12 says that USCIS is processing March 5 filers. This is based on an average of the data over the last couple months. It does not take into account the recent transfer.
So the fact that VJ estimates that they are "processing March 5" might not be accurate due to that transfer.

That's all I was trying to say.

We dont know if the transfer will have an influence on CSC filers, but if it does, the VJ estimates might not be accurate until we know more.

I think CSC has slowed down. No March filer has reported getting their NOA2, that I know of.

I was thinking the same thing today. I was hoping to see if more March filers would have gotten their NOA2's today. Not that I only want CSC people to be worked, but the other threads are bare of people being notified of a transfer. It just seems like CSC may be "on pause" and waiting for all those dusty TSC cases. That's fine, because they are going to whip right through all those neglected love-sick petitioners, then TSC is going to get moving on their cases and finish all their February cases by the middle of May! Then only April people will be waiting for NOA2's by the end of May! I just know it! (Or at least I hope this is what will happen...)

You are not being "discriminated against".

You just live in a state that gets routed to TSC. It is supposed to be done with the intention of balancing the load amongst the other states between the service centers. You just drew a bad card.

The issue, which I have previously explained is poor management at TSC and mentality of government workers. It's not like a regular corporate job where a desk full of files gets you fired. Instead, it guarantees you have work tomorrow and possibly some overtime. Having spent time in management in a corporate environment as well as dealing with more branches of the Federal and State governments than I care to share, I am familiar with both side - private sector and government.

People are motivated in the workplace by three by things; 1. Money, 2. Time off and 3. Recognition. Maybe TSC employees get overtime, but judging by their case load, probably not. Maybe time off. Again, judging by their case load, probably not. And tell me if you have ever been to a Federal building parking lot and seen an "Employee of the Month" parking space.

Why do you think TSC and CSC have such an egregious descrepancy between processing times? The system is setup to balance the load evenly by numbers between the service centers. Yet CSC has average processing times recently of less than a month while TSC is well over 6 month. Why the difference? Bad management. Period...

So, the TSC workers get to slack off and get some of their workload transferred to CSC. The CSC appears to be well managed and running smoothly. Their reward for doing their job well? More work! Other people's work!!

"We have paid the same fees and are being discriminated against due to location.
This cannot be fair when some CSC filers manage to get their visas inside 4 months."
