Am I the only TSC March filer who's starting to feel a little resentful and mistreated? Please don't get me wrong, I'm very happy for the March filers who were routed immediately to CSC, and I'm happy this transfer might help people who have been waiting far too long already to be reunited with their loved ones, but it seems as though some of us are in the bottom of the pile no matter how the speculation spins--namely, we didn't file early enough to be in the assumed window to be transferred and we didn't file late enough to be automatically routed to CSC. It's as if we've drifted into the darkest regions of the black hole that is the Texas Service Center.

Another poster commented about how the service center we're sent to is not a form of discrimination, but at the moment it certainly feels like unfair treatment. In the month I've waited since receiving NOA1, I've watched multiple couples not only receive NOA1 but also NOA2, while my case status remains untouched. It's discouraging and frustrating, and it causes my heart to break for the many people in this same position and those who have been waiting even longer.

I'm planning to write my Represenative and Senators to bring this to their attention. They're supposed to advocate for us, and perhaps if we continue reaching out to them, the efforts currently being undertaken in TSC to speed the process will continue until no one has to go through this waiting again.

When filling in your timeline, please understand that all I-129F's are sent to the LOCKBOX in Texas, and then ROUTED (not transferred) to your ASSIGNED service center- the one in Texas "TSC" (not the same as the lockbox!), or the one in California "CSC". If your tracking number starts with WAC, you're at the CSC, you were not transferred! There are no transfers at this time. If your number starts with SRC you're at the TSC and that's where you will serve your entire sentence.USCIS isn't fair.

They don't care about you.

Us TSC filers are all with you. I have already been in the queue for 96 days and i doesn't look like I am halfway yet.

Maybe the transfers will still positively affect us, but after a week of no news, hope is fading for me.

I'm also an early March filer stuck at TSC and I feel exactly the same way...

I'm just hoping this recent announcement of transfers will bring down the wait time at TSC to within the original 5 month timeframe...fingers crossed for all of us unfortunate enough to have ended up at TSC.

dsldesch, you may want to wait to contact legislators until after 5 months after your NOA1 date. They might not take any action if you are within the 'typical' processing time. Hopefully, Texas starts working in a more reasonable time frame!

I actually started this post/thread as I was the first March filer to send our application on March 2nd. I got the NOA1 on March 10. There are people that have filed shortly after me and got NOA1 on March 9th and some that have even filed and got their NOA1 later than ours and already gotten the NOA2 this past week. So if all is well. I am execting our NOA2 sometime soon.

You make a good point, gtessier. Especially since I've seen Philippine petitions get worked quicker at CSC and TSC from this site. At least we have a way of sort of gauging where our petition lays in the pile. Only, I'm sure the officers have to work a mix of types of petitions, so only a certain number of K-1 requests may get worked a day. Not that I have any idea how the service centers work....really, petitions have been waiting since August 2014? September? What part of the building was ruined that this stoppage happened??

Since a lot of people hate that they're stuck at TSC (I do feel for you), let me make you feel a little bit better about your position. Even though I was approved in 15 days, and I'm grateful for that, we have a long, long, long road ahead of us, and we're not even sure when it will end. My fiance's currently in a war-torn country, with absolutely no way out. He's only lived there this past year. He wasn't even born and raised there, but since he's technically a Yemeni, he needed to go there and wait until his student visa for Malaysia gets approved. It was approved almost a month ago, but they didn't want to issue it until April. I don't know if many of you watch the news, but last week war broke out and there's absolutely no way out of the country. Because he's stuck there, he can't go to Malaysia, even though Malaysia now agreed that he no longer needs a stamp from the Malaysian Embassy (thanks, Malaysia, a little late), and since he won't be in Malaysia when his application gets to the NVC, his case will get sent to Cairo, which apparently is not scheduling any interviews at the moment. They still have a HUGE pile (all cases) that was transferred from Yemen recently that they still haven't even touched, so his will be at the very bottom of that pile.

At this point, there's truly no telling when he will get out of Yemen, and we're praying that when he gets to Malaysia, it will be easy enough to route his case there. At this point though, it's very uncertain. He has had the worst luck lately, and I pray that it ends soon.

I would so gladly take TSC over this. I originally thought I'd be waiting 6 months until I came on this site after I filed and I was shocked when I found out it got routed to California, where it takes a month or less. I was very willing and perfectly fine with waiting 6 months, and a huge part of me wishes I had waited until he was IN Malaysia to start this, but I thought, "why not start now, it will take 6+ months to get approved anyway!" Boy, was I wrong.

I don't know if that makes anyone feel better about their current situation, but just remember, someone somewhere has it worse. I'm still trying to stay positive though.

Thank you for sharing that link in your signature. I'm going to read that thread now.

I wouldn't be asking that they push my petition along; I'm not trying to cut in line or anything. I just want them to know the disparity between filers. Perhaps if there's pressure on the USCIS from members of Congress, they'll be more accountable to bringing the two service centers into equal operation, hopefully with adjudication times more similar to CSC's than TSC's. That being said, it probably would be wiser to at least wait another month or so to at least see what might come of this transfer. If nothing else, it would allow me to write a more informed letter about what is or isn't happening at TSC.

I'm terribly sorry to hear about your situation, and I will keep your fiance in my thoughts, wishing things improve and he's able to get to safety so this process can continue easily for you. I also appreciate your kindness in trying to make us feel better, but at least for me, I don't take happiness in the misfortune of others. Although it's an easy consolation, it simply perpetuates the kinds of thinking that uphold systemic, institutional equality. If more people looked for comfort not in the suffering but the joy of others, I believe our world would be a far more peaceful, equitable place.

I would agree. dsldesch, you are only 30 days into the process. I don't understand the need for alarm at this point.
