Hi Guys,

I guess the forum getting a bit quiet after everyone receiving their EADs.

Just want to share my experience, I finally received my Green Card!!

I had the interview last week, 10/7. The IO asked a bunch of questions, took us around 1 hour for the interview. She then say I still need more time on the case, I'd be hearing back within a week if she needs any additional evidence, if not, I should hear the decision within 2 weeks. After 2 hours, I got text/email stating "Card in Production"! Total 7 days after getting approval to receiving card. Note that they didn't provide me a tracking number when they mailed the card, but it's via USPS 2 Days Priority.

Hope you all get yours soon!

Congrats!

Hi everyone, just curious if anyone is experiencing the same dilemma that we are. June 22, 2015 got the dreaded Notice of Potential Interview waiver Case letter, states on that letter that it could take up to 6 months from the date of the letter, which woud be December 2015 before we hear anything about our case. Has anyone gotten the same? Its been over 7 months now and we still sit in limbo.

Yes, I'm in the same boat. Haven't heard anything since receiving my waiver either. It's frustrated but I'm not surprised. This whole process has been slow for me and I always seem to get my notices way after everyone else so I'm just hanging tight and trying not to worry about it. Honestly I'm just glad I don't have to sit through ah interview

Hi there,

I received our interview notice on Monday via email and today in the mail. We are trying to decide what to do because we had booked flights and planned an entire family trip during the time it got scheduled but I am trying to make it work and rearrange plans because it just gives me a bad feeling to reschedule things with USCIS. I am already panicking about missing our flights back, if we do not change dates, but I we will decide this weekend what we really want and can do.

Ugh...I just received an email saying my interview date is December 1st.

Sadly I'm not in the state now...until January...

So I need to reschedule my interview date and I'm so scared to do that.but I have no choice.

Does anybody know about the process???

Should I call 1-800-375-5283 and ask if they can reschedule the interview?

Is it okay for my husband to call them instead of me?

Or should I send a letter to them??

Thank you so much in advance

Okay, after still not hearing any news, I'm considering filing a service request. Actually, we're still within the "six months" window but I'm growing so impatient and still checking the mail every few days. I guess I'll just keep watching the clock

So I applied for my mom and dad in March. Just checked my dad's status and his GC was just mailed while my mom is still waiting and nothing changed since May on her case. I'm so confused. I called today and spoke to a 2 nd tier officer who was not helpful at all. I put in a service request. It is bitter sweet because I'm glad for my dad but i wish I could say the same for both of them.

Hey there!

I hadn't had the chance to write here. \ We received our interview notice around the end of October for the end of November in New York, which was right in the middle of a vacation we had planned so we had to change our flights and decided to come back the day before the interview very early.

We actually spent more time waiting to be called than in the interview. She asked very basic questions, how did we meet and how our relationship evolved, what we do (we both went to college and work in our fields) and some family questions, like if we have met each other families, and that was basically it.

She looked at our pictures, kept some of them and said they will be in contact if they needed more information. Ten minutes after leaving the office I received a text alert saying my status had changed and long and behold I was approved. The card was sent to me in a week!

It feels like such a relief. I can finally go home and we can put this behind us for a little while.

Good luck to everyone else!

My petition is for my parent (my mom) too. Which is your local service center? so your dad received green card without an interview?

------

I-130 (as part of IR-5 process) - USCIS (Nebraska Service Center)

06/09/14 - sent I-130

06/14/14 - NOA 1

11/14/14 - NOA 2 (5 months)

AOS (Local Office: Denver)

03/24/15 - AOS packet sent via USPS Priority Mail (I-485, I-765 & I-131 w/ approved I-130)

03/26/15 - package delivered according to USPS website

04/01/15 - email notifying the AOS package has been received

04/02/15 - an AOS fee withdrawn from a bank account

04/09/15 - received hard copies of all three NOAs (NOAs dated 04/01/15)

04/28/15 - Biometrics

05/08/15 - online status changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"

05/18/15 - online status changed to I-765 approved-wait the card in the mail (no change for I-131) (80 days)

05/19/15 - received EAD/AP in the mail

05/28/15 - online status changed to "As of June 28, case is ready to be scheduled for an interview." This is the second time of such change since 05/08/15.

07/05/15 - online status changed to "As of July 5, case is ready to be scheduled for an interview." How many times are they going to update that status, I wonder?

12/18/15 - still waiting!!! For almost 9 months now (261 days from AOS NOA, 234 days from Biometrics).

01/14/16 - submitted "out-of-normal processing time" inquiry and called USCIS that stated the case is still at NBC and "inquiry" should answer why there is such delay.

01/15/16 - 294 days since the AOS was received by the USCIS; 262 days from the biometrics.

01/28/16 - [day 309] received response to case status inquiry (processed on 01/23/15) - "your case is waiting to be scheduled for interview," so wait another 90 days [sigh].

02/21/16 - [day 332] interview scheduled for 03/24/16 [363 days from the receipt of petition].

02/24/16 - [day 363] AOS interview. Approval on the spot.
