you can call them 180days after ur notice of action

thank you., I'll have that date marked on my calendar!

Hi! I came on the K-1 and have received my interview notice, as have a few other people. In fact, a few have already gotten their green cards in hand.

However, there are a lot of people who have not yet heard anything, and even some with the interview waiver letters.

So in conclusion: there seems to be no pattern in how they go about this. Some people get lucky and have interviews, while others get waived and have to wait a lot longer for their green cards, unfortunately.

I believe that with K1 visas, the interview process is less strict as we have been thoroughly interviewed prior to receiving the K1 in the first place. Hence a lot of us get the waiver.

As for timeline with the interview scheduling, I think that may have more to do with how busy the office in your area is.

Thank you, exactly what I was looking for! I'll just keep putting evidence together in case of an interview and keep hoping for the best!

I have a question about the EAD process. My EAD was approved on May 20 and I received my card on May 29. I applied for a new SSC because the of the name change on June 1. Yesterday, I received a letter from the SSA telling me that EAD approval has not been updated in their system yet. Does anyone know how long this takes, or do I need to call the USCIS? I would like to get my US drivers license because I am not covered under the car insurance with my international license and I would like to have an ID finally. But without the SSC they cannot issue my driver's license. Thanks for your help!!

We're actually not that prepared but we're taking 1 big paper bag (which has all our papers and evidence of bonafide relationship) with us. HAHA if they don't approve us then i don't know what else to do. lol but yes keeping my fingers crossed! Thank you!

We just got back from our Interview and we were approved on the spot you guys! :dancing: The IO was a nice lady and we felt very comfortable that it didn't even feel like it was 20-30 mins long. What took long was she took her time to look through our papers and checked what's missing or whatnot. She said she was not ready to interview us because the IO who's going to interview us couldn't make it. While flipping through our papers though, she started asking questions but just the basic ones like where did we meet, etc. She asked for pictures from our wedding (she took 2 and made a copy) and marriage certificate. She then asked my husband the obligatory questions such as did he commit a crime, was he arrested before, etc Lol Then we talked about the weather, she was asking what it's like in the Philippines compared here in Imperial, CA and we told her it's pretty close since we have the tropical (humid) weather in PI. Then that's it. She explained the ROC process and that my husband is going to receive a 2 yr GC and that we'll be receiving it in 15 days. So there, cheers to our 2 years break from USCIS! :goofy:

Yes! just be prepared cuz we brought a ton of papers with us and they only asked for a few but it's better than not being prepared at all. We expected for the worse and fortunately they were nice to us :) Goodluck and you'll be fine ;)
