I sent checklist docs by email Jan 26th and Feb 5, and nothing yet, They can't even tell me if they got the email. They lost my original email of Nov 19th with my civil docs but received the AOS docs. I had to send two emails because of the size they got one and not the other. so frustrating.

oh no!

how is that even possible? to get one but not the other???

now I'm frustrated too as we sent 5 emails with documents. checklist here we come!!! may as well be prepared for the worst and be pleasantly surprised for none.

===================

on another note, i spoke with sweet and kind Laura at 1pm and she confirmed email addresses and said she would 'unlock' the IV fee. It's 2 hours later and the fee is still locked.

Did this kind lady tell me incorrect information or does it take longer than 2 hours for the IV fee to be unlocked?

I have received three same emails from NVC. They are all saying they received my docs on 11th Feb, the only difference is that they are dated 14th, 16th, and today 17th Feb. What could be going on there...lolest.

Me too! I feel like it is a form of torture as you expect each email to maybe be good news....but alas...wait 60 days

Hi all - need feedback please! So our lawyer forwarded my IV and AOS packages via EP on Feb 12th (I submitted the DS-260 on the 11th), but the IV package included the short form and not the long form of my birth certificate (that's my fault as I didn't notice when I sent it to him). He also didn't rename the docs nicely with the number name etc, just forwarded what I sent him. So I sent him the long form today and he said he forwarded to the NVC. Two questions:

I am REALLY tempted to resend the entire package myself just in case, with the nicely named documents. Should I? I am assuming the NVC doesn't really care if the docs aren't named perfectly as long as the case # is in the subject line as they suggest. I know this may bump up my 60 days but would that be better than a checklist? Would they notice the long form birth cert which was sent today and attach it to my file sent five days ago? I am also wondering if I CAN send it myself considering he's the lawyer representing us. I am not sure what to do. Sit tight and wait or resend the entire thing, properly, tonight and be delayed.

Thanks for anyone's thoughts!

Hm, tough spot Mag! I don't have much input other than to let you know I also have to send some extra stuff after already submitting and NVC told me it'd get put with my file as long as I included the case number properly. We're hoping that is true and no checklist. Sorry about your lawyer.

Thanks, at least it's not just me!:) That helps. I just worry that if I resend the entire package they will just take it as a new submission. So… rock and hard place.

Hey all, so for those, like me, who like to give themselves ulcers - I talked to NVC tonight to see what to do about the extra docs (and TwoChickies what you said was the same thing they said to me, so thanks!), and I asked about the 60 days issue and he said as far as he knows it's still 60 days, not 66, not more:) They HAVE been delayed because of snow days but it should get back to normal soon, as there are no more federal off days and weather will hopefully hold for a bit. So everyone get some sleep and those of you so so close, holding my fingers crossed for you all. And for those interested - I re-sent the long form birth certificate to them by myself today, as he said that they should attach it to my file. And no, they still had no record of receiving that email from the 12th, which kind of sucks, but isn't surprising so I won't worry about it.
