Hi,

Just interested if anyone brought their pet when they immigrated. I brought my dog, from Scotland to the US. The plane ticket for my dog cost more than it did for me, lol. I just wanted to know if anyone else brought their pet or pets with them. Thanks.

Butting in on a different topic, Pauline...

This information, the way you have worded it here, should most definitely be shared with that lawyer you're going to meet/talk with.

That would be a good idea. Unfortunatley, I think too much time has passed, almost 2 years. Thanks for commenting though.

I was living in Asia when we met, I brought my Labrador over in 2005 although we knew we weren't filing the K1 til early 2006.

NOTE another good addition to the K1 evidence, doggy plane tickets and luggage tags with my future address on it. :)

I can highly reccomend Thai airways, even if you are in Europe, try to get on it with a pet since they fly everywhere. They are very experienced with animals, ( they told me they do a lot of horses, tigers , exotic animals etc, when they do they have an animal attendant in the cargo area) and the cost was $170 USD per 25kg unit of weight. My dog was on the BKK direct to JFK flight 17 hours...nice big cage, and his chew toy and a small water bottle. He came out the other end all smiles.

Our only problem, he knocked up hubbies female Neo and today we have two 1 year old babies from that mess. The USCIS officer must have gone mad looking at all the puppy pics

I love watching people levitate to the other side of the street when they see all of them on a leash at once or in the front yard. No-one messes with this house!

Yes, I brought my two dogs from London Heathrow to Los Angeles International on British Airways. I found them to be the cheapest of all the airlines as they take pets as excess baggage rather than as cargo. It was supposed to cost me 630 pounds for both of them and they told me to pay at the airport when I checked my dogs in. Well, lucky me, BA forgot to ask for the payment so my doggies flew to LA free of charge! If you are flying pets from the UK to the USA I wouldnt bother with these pet relocation companies as they are usally double the price and its so easy you can do it yourself. Most airlines just require a letter from your vet saying the pet is healthy to fly. Dont need no vaccinations and the UK is rabies free so its an easy transition bringing pets from the UK.
