Green Card Missing!!!???

Most of the postal workers are pretty good some are not. My wife had to get a new social security card cause she changed her name to my last name after she got her citizenship. We waited until then to make it easy they change it for free. She had the social security number already just a name change. We waited a month. Didn't arrive so she went back to the office accused her of losing it. She said she never go it. They said your allowed 3 cards per year and 10 in your life time. Well another card was issued we were waiting for that one. A neighbor came by and delivered it. It was put in the wrong houses mailbox. Our postal lady is the absolute worst. Shes been on this route for years and still never gets it right. I am always having to take mail to other peoples houses. And they do the same. UGH

Hi Ms Hogan, a reward is actually a good idea to encourage whoever has the envelope, I never thought about that.

What we did for now is just putting signs in the mailbox room. But yes, we might offer a reward. Hopefully we'll find it.

I just think it might help give someone the incentive to get it back in your hands. The envelopes don't look different than any other mail and most people would have no clue how important it is! Even if you get a gift card for lunch somewhere or something like that. You just want to encourage the person to contact you so you can tell them how much trouble they'd save you by handing it back.

Yup, it really is crazy. Wish they would send these important documents through express mail coz this is just not right.

By the way, are you from ormoc? I asked coz I am from Ormoc, too. :-)

Years ago they use to send it via first-class mail on the first attempt so there was no way to track it.

I think Passport Service used to send new US Passport also by first class mail.

Priority Mail is what they use to mail Cards. Usually we get them and get sent out the same day. Bad thing about them is the size of the envelope. Sometimes they might be over looked by customer or fall inbetween Sales ads or Magazines. Hope you did not throw your mail away. Other option is when you get your notfication that item has been mailed out, Hold your mail for about a week. That way you can pick it up at our office. Tony Delivery Supervisor

UPDATE: The USPS carrier found our mail and delivered it to us today. Last friday, it was delivered in the wrong address, so thankful that we have it now. Thank you so much everyone! :-)

Thank you. :-) Yes and we also bought them lunch yesterday and we also want to give gift card to the postman who traced and found our mail. :-)
