I will wait till 20th July. After that it will cross the normal processing time which is 6 months.

I can see your NOA1 date is 9th Jan, If you want to send an inquiry you can use below link.

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do;jsessionid=abcXzwV32-QB87uFT5f3u?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt

Good Luck!!!

Tried yesterday to send an inquiry. It was exactly 6 months. It wouldn't go through, they blocked it and said "you are withing the normal processing time" I guess I'll have to wait a little more and then try again.

Sent I-130... 1-30-12

OK cool I will do that thanks! And how do I get my passport stamped? And what happens in my extension is over and I need to request another extension in March 2016? is that a big deal? Do I need to file papers again? Do I need a special request?

Mine doesn't have a restriction. And yours shouldn't either, the only reason yours has a restriction is because you got your social security card when you had your work permit before you got your actual green card. If you'll go to the SS office right now they will give you a new one without that restriction.

Make an infopass request online on USCIS site with your local USCIS office, bring your passport there and they will stamp it. You can always get another stamp on your passport as long as your application is still pending. But hopefully you will get approved before that!

Thanks, israelidude, I just printed it off, will take it to my wife's employer.

No problem! If we won't take care of each other no one will! We shouldn't let people or employers discriminate against us, we are legal residents and no one can take that away from us.

Hey, my case status hasn't changed from 'case received'.

I sent in this years tax returns/transcripts-filed jointly.

We just took a 2+ month vacation so I sent in our tickets for that. We really don't have much else so if we get called in for an interview I don't mind at all. We have a daughter together who was born here in the U.S also. We got called for an interview during the AOS but that was a piece of cake. It was about 10 minutes long and we got the approval email the by time we got home.

Hey Omar313,

I just have few information to find out incase of an RFE!

  1. Did the RFE contain specific documents that you were supposed to mail back or take to an interviewing center?
  2. did you have to go for an interview?
  3. what were the specific questions they asked you?
  4. have you received your response / GC yet?

reply bro

I am pretty sue every SS card based on conditional GC has the "DHS" restriction. Mine says "valid only with DHS authorization".

No they don't. You shouldn't have that on there once you obtain a green card.

Responded to the RFE today, They wanted proof of residency. The thing is we had all the correct address on all the things for proof. Just because we don't have a house mortgage or rental agreement, or bills with our names? added wifes drivers license, mom's drivers license, my license, life insurance, car insurance policy. Letter written from my mom and sister telling we moved into mom's house after dad died last year. One water bill in just my name the other ones are in my mom's husbands name since it is her house we are living in. A trip last month with receipt of a motel and pictures, credit card statement with the wife as an authorized user. The wife's new job with deposits into our joint checking account and two months bank statements showing the deposits. Can't do anymore hope it's enough.
