I sent my paperwork in Oct but I am basically a Nov filer, it sucks to see CSC started April and VSC hasn't even been able to get through half of November(more than 5 months behind), makes nooooo sense, but hopefully in 2 months or so right before my NOA-1 hits one year they will get to my application LOL

Have a good weekend:)

  • 2 weeks later...

Ok - Gerogia DMV rant time.

My GC expires in 2 weeks, and so does my license.

I brought my NOA1 from my I-751 application stating that my GC was extended for a year. Because I am a waiver case, I completed the I- 751 some 6 months ahead of the actual expiry of my GC.

Do the DMV care? No! They ignore the letter, and extend the license for 4 months based on the date you attended the biometrics.... well that was back in March. We all know how slow VSC are progressing anything right now.

So despite having a valid GC extension, my license will expire in 2 weeks - and there's nothing I can do about it.

So I could (potentially) be waiting several months more before I can drive again, because GA has decided that they don't like federal documents and are just going to ignore them!!!

Say goodbye to my job, since I can't get there now.

*sigh*

Thats not a smart assumption.. Why would you say that? they dont move cases just because an interview is needed they move cases because of overload.

Because mine is a divorce waiver case. allied to the fact that no one else (many of whom filed before me) have heard anything yet.

I would encourage others to check their case status online and post back, it's possible that VSC has done a case dump to local offices in order to ease their workload.

If so, not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but at least it's progress.

Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Your Case Status: Initial Review

On August 17, 2015, your Form CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, Receipt Number EACXXXXXXXX8, was transferred to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by September 16, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators. If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

This the text of the e-mail I received, not indicating at all if it was a local field office the case was transferring to or to another Service Center. I guess that will follow in the notice,
