Service Center question...

Hello all! First time posting, so I'm not sure how to actually do this. So here's the (long, more of a crazy rambling than a) question!

My fiance and I sent in our I-129F on the 4th, and USPS overnight had it there by noon on the 5th (seriously, it was on time! I was SHOCKED!)

We sent it to the Lewisville, TX address, since we were using USPS Express mail. Unfortunately, we receive no electronic NOA1, since that's only done at the Dallas Lockbox, from what I've read.

I'm wondering if it will be sent to VSC rather than staying at the TSC. I live in Ohio and my fiance is in The Netherlands. Does this determine if it stays in Texas, or goes onto Vermont?

Sorry if my wording is odd! It's 2:39 and I just CAN'T SLEEP knowing we FINALLY have it all sent in after 2.5 years of long distance. Ahhhh love. Goodness, I'm a sap.

Any replies are appreciated! Love always - AmarilloByMorning

Relax. You'll hear nothing but crickets for months. Silence. Get used to it. Troll the boards for solace.

If you sent the G-1145 then you will receive an electronic notification. You did send your package to the Dallas Lockbox. It has two different addresses- a PO box and a physical address, depending on how you sent it, but it's the same place.

All I-129f packages go to the Dallas Lockbox, and from there they are sent to either TSC or CSC, depending on which state you are in.

First thing that will probably happen is your check will get cashed, and you will receive the electronic notification (either one of these could be first). Then you will get the hard copy NOA1 in the mail, then you wait. Good luck!

Hey :) Sorry to burst you bubble but VSC doesnt do K-1 visas anymore :( so most likely you'd get shipped to TSC.

Thanks! That was a bit confusing to me, so I appreciate you clearing that up! Unfortunately we didn't include the G-1145 because of that confusion, so I guess I'll just start checking the mail in a few days or so, for the hardcopy NOA1 ;)

Thanks for your reply! We did send it to TSC, I was just wondering if it would be transferred to VSC since a family friend of ours had that happen to them. That was over ten years ago though, and since VSC doesn't do K1 Visas anymore, I guess we don't have to worry ;) Thanks again for the reply!

Just to clear things up, you sent it to the Dallas lockbox, not the TSC. They are different. From the Dallas lockbox, yours will be sent to either TSC or CSC.

Ahhh you're right, I get what you're saying now. Sorry, I'm a newbie here so I'm not really...hip with the lingo. Thanks for helping me catch on quick! And thanks again for you reply! Very helpful again :) 0300 here, headed to bed.

I peaked in on the October 2014 thread for CSC, and most of them are getting approved between 1-3 weeks from their NOA1 date. Keep in mind there are other waits such as the NVC stage and waiting for the embassy to receive your case. Good luck!

Once you get your NOA1 you'll be able to register online and check your status online.

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Also once do your VJ timeline, check out Igor's list and it kind of gives a decent indication on how the "line" is moving.

The Igor's list I posted is CSC but you can sort it which ever way fits your needs.
