Hello members,

We are about to begin our visa process. But we could not get skype chat or anything before April 2014. We met in USA in March 2014 and again in August 2014. We know each other from 2012 November and have few email exchanges in 2013 (beginning) but can't find any record. All chat history etc is available from April 2014 onwards. Would it create any problem?

I guess the visa process takes around 6 months and we will have more documentation evidences. I always used to call her up from ship's satellite phone and hence no information is available in documents.

Thanks

As long as you are including other evidence (passport stamps, flight itineraries/receipts, photos etc) I don't see why this would be an issue. We personally chose not to include any chat logs with our petition and had no problems. Good luck! :)

Thanks a lot. We have lots of photographs. What a relied. Exactly, the process should be base don intention and not on a bunch of paper logs. Well, we do have chat logs etc since we first met.

Have an awesome day and I will keep you all posted about the journey.

Others are right, focus on proving you two met physically within 2 years of filing for K-1 visa. Start compiling chat history from this point to bring to your interview instead just to show you are in contact regularly. Not a big deal though because they tend to look at the pictures more than the chat print-outs.

Some of the information above is dangerously casual. OP, you appear to be beginning the petition process. (The visa process comes later, after petition approval.) A crucial piece of missing evidence is which consulate you'll eventually deal with for the visa process. If it's a rough one (and, often, even if it's not), front-loading your petition with evidence of your bona fide relationship can pay dividends or ward off disaster. Where does your fiancee live, and (if different) where is she from?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

whitetiger, we do not even know where you are from, because, YOU have not filled in your timeline! Please do so, as your earliest convenience as it really helps, if you post here, ask questions, why not fill in your timeline??? Even if you just filed a petition.

Chat logs are a minor part of evidence, pictures, times, dates, who where, boarding passes, hotel receipts, any receipts of the country you visited.,...,.,.

A few e mails would be nice. Lettters of intent to marry within 90 days of POE..,.,,.,just read the link on K-1 visa on this site, it is excellent!

Go atop any VJ page, click "Reviews: Embassy" and "Embassy Info," and read up on Singapore. The findings will dictate how you might front-load your I-129F petition package with evidence of bona fide relationship.
