Spouse received social security and permanent resident card (valid for 2 years).

What are the next steps if any?

My husband is preparing to find a job. This should not be an issue with these 2 documents, right?

Go leave your life. No issue that's all he needs.

Whats next 90 days from the expiry you can start removing conditions on your green card to get the 10 year card. So do keep collecting evidence of your co-mingling of your life together. But please don;t fret about it now. Congratulations. Enjoy!!

He should have no issues finding work now. He doesn't need anything else in the immediate future, but remember he will need to lift the conditions on his CGC 90 days before the 2 years is up.

Remember to mingle your finances and build proof of co-habitation (his name on utilities and the such).

Does he have a state driver license / identification? Many states only issue an ID up to the date of expiration of a foreigner's period of legal presence, so if he got an ID shortly after getting the one-year EAD, for example, many states would have the ID set to expire the same day as that work permit. With the two-year green card, he can update his ID to the newer expiration date (keep in mind you generally can't renew your license unless it's set to expire in a certain number of daysin my state it's sixty days).

Thank you all for your help. I wasnt aware we had to apply 90 days before the 2 year expiration nor to keep collecting signs of our relationship or marriage.

I'll start doing that!

We dont have any utilities or bills in our name because we ilve with my parents, but banking documents and estate planning documents are in our names, Of course our taxes as well.

He is studying for a driving license in our state. ESL courses are helping too!
