You can attempt to contact your state representatives at 5 months, but no guarantees. You aren't required by any law or mandate to wait until a specific time to inquire about your case - you just usually have a high percentage of being turned away if you do it too early. You can call the USCIS help line as well - don't bother listening to a tier 1 agent, ask for a tier 2. You will probably hear the line about the USCIS website saying they are processing April petitions and you have to wait. I would push forward and say that you have personally seen filers being approved after that date and you wish to speak to a tier 2 agent. Can't hurt.

I called last thursday - When I called just keep asking fora tier 2 agent even if they tell you the first time they can't transfer you. I asked twice and they said "since you asked twice, I am required to transfer you" or something like that.

The tier 2 agent was the most hopeful even after I went to both my congresswoman and senator. He told me my petition was on someones desk even though he couldn't tell me the name and said I should hear very soon. and then yesterday I was approved!!

They can't really expedite anything but can give you the most information.

NOA1: May 27th, 2014 - TSC

ARN: August 8th, 2014

NO transfer....

NOA2: November 10th, 2014!!

I am not sure what the "estimated" processing time is for TSC now but it was 5 months for us when we were waiting. When we reached the 5 month mark we wrote to both state Senators and filed queries with USCIS about what was going on. The Senators were able to call USCIS and spur them to work on our case and provide a decision to us within 30 days from then.

We got approved about a week or 2 later. The worst part of this whole process is waiting for USCIS to approve your K1 but almost 99% of them get approved so it is just about the waiting.

Hang in there guys, we know where you are and how it feels but if you are at 5 months then I can not imagine it being much longer.

Sending you good vibes)))

Thanks for your story, it helps give me an idea of what I should be expecting as well. I am a 07/02/2014 NOA1. So as I write this it's been 4 months and 3 weeks.

I may start preparing to write to my Congressmen or Senators.

Curious though Foxxy, was there a reason you wrote to Senators and not Congressmen?

And same question to you Annie S., why did you write to Congressmen/women and not the Senators?

Thank you in advance!
