Thank you! If I would of found this site before hiring the attorney I would of save that cash and probably would of avoid the check list I got for two simple mistakes she made on my AOS.. But oh well things happen for a reason and we move on... Good things comes to those who wait and everything takes time, That's the way I'm trying to look at it to stay positive and what I told my hubby every day as he says this will makes us stronger at the end.. Let me know as soon as you hear something.. :)

CASE COMPLETE Nov 13

AOS and IV Scan dates Sept 24

Followed NVC Operator instructions which differ from those on this forum:

1.After AOS showed PAID, sent both AOS and IV packets together using the NVC supplied Document Cover Sheet

2. 4 days later received notice that documents were received on a certain date and to wait 60 days for review.

3. A few days after that IV Fee was open to pay

4. Received no "archaic" "false checklists" since we followed NVC instructions and they had both packages

5. No documents were "lost" because we sent both packages together

6. Had no checklists due to the help of VJ

My advice: Read everything here and follow the advice of the NVC.

Things are changing at the NVC and VJ and NVC's website need to catch up.

Congratulations guys!!!!!:dancing::goofy: :goofy: Have a marvelously happy life together, and Happy Holidays!! :dancing: :joy:

I agree good things come to those that wait. And this process definitely make us stronger. We too hire an attorney with the fear we could not fill papers corecctly. Soo sad I didn't find this site like you before. I pray she did all right. Just want my husband before our bundle arrives. Will keep you posted on cc.:)

So, my case passed October 3, got shipped out - never landed in the NVC. It is now November 17th. Still no case number.

They told me to scan the approval letter and mail it in to NVCresearch 2 weeks ago - did that, still no case number.

8 weeks gone by since approval notice, yippee!

Wow. That sucks more than I can imagine. :wow:<_< It has been two weeks since you sent the scan, I would be on the phone now as often as you can. They seem to respond to electronic correspondence within a couple of weeks, and something is not right here so they need to get on top of it. Good luck my friend. I have been following a few names I recognize on here, so please keep us posted. Sometimes it feels like you get lost in these large threads, but there's always someone out there who cares :) .

My grandfather case had supervisor review for birth certificate. They were saying i didnot include and i didnt have birth certificate so i sent no record certificate and affadtive of close relative but they didnt find it inside so i put it for supervisor review on 20th.today i told rep to transfer me to supervisor and she was like it was never requested for supervisor review. R YOU KIDDING ME? Its like 30 days waste right there and now she will look in to it.

So why all rep was saying me it was under Supervisor review? Tired of this process.

Anyone from mumbai consulate if they know if you dont have birth certificate which document you sent and from where? I sent it from grampanchayat but she said we need from right authority i dont what is she trying to say.please help.

According to NVC, Letter from Urban affairs office stating that the birth was not registered (looking at his age they will accept). Affidavit from 2 persons (need to be older than the applicant) known about his birth.

Hope they will do that becoz i sent 2 close relative affadtive older then my grandfather.

So hopefully she will find that in there and make it to case complete. But she was explaining all like we need creamy paper with red letters the one from birth and death state registra office. I dont know lets see what she come with the result.

But i have question right now they made new rule before 2 week in india that any problems with your birth certificate talati can do it he has authority to do it so if by any chance i able to get birth certificate can i send it or they will say first you sent no record now howcome you have birth certificate.it will misguide them if i sent birth certificate?

I don't know how your state issues it. But recently I saw one from a person I was helping out. The printing was in plain paper with black letters (font size may be 16 to 20 ).. it just says they ran a search for the registration and could not find it. Stamp from the urban office and the blue stamp from the officer (stamp says registrar of Birth and Death) and his/her signature in green ink. It is from Kerala so I don't know how your state format it...

There is no way your GF will have birth certificate.. born before 1950.. just get another not found certificate and send it along with the affidavits.. this time they might accept it.
