Hi guys, I'm just new here.. Please help, so my American fiance sent the form I-129F together with the check, but I've been reading the forums and requirements here.. DO I really need to send other documents like letter of intent, the form G325 and photos even without receiving any receipts or acknowledgement? My fiance have called them up to follow up the status but they never mention anything about the other documents. Please help! We just want the processing to start already so we can get married next year.

We have just finished compiling ours and we included the i129f, with two letters of intent (one from each of us), passport photos of each of us, two copies of the g325a form (again one completed by each of us), a scan of my fiance's US birth certificate, several photos of us which were dated on the back with an explanation of where they were taken and whom was in the photos, plane tickets with receipts and other evidence that we have travelled together/to see each other. I also wrote a letter describing how we met.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that this is enough!

Hope that helps.

VJ seems to indicate that the average application takes around eight months, so a June wedding isn't totally out of the question, keep the faith!

it is all clearly stated in the directions provide with the I-129-F form.

As Steve has highlighted, there are a very clear set of instructions on the website where the i-129f form is found, I would definitely recommend reading through this whilst filling out the application as it helped us immensely (along with some wonderful advice from VJ of course!). Make sure you triple check everything and I'm sure you will be fine!

If your fiance only sent the I-129F along with a check and did not include the other requirements, which include a G-325A and Intent to Marry letter from you, USCIS will be sending an RFE request. I suggest to complete the G-325A and Letter Of Intent to marry, and a 2X2 passport photo and send them to him.

Follow this guide for completing the K-1 I-129F petition: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide
