How long does it take USCIS to ship after NOA2?

Add me to the list.

Our I-130 was approved on Sept 24, online status still does not say it was shipped to NVC. We received the NOA2 hard copy dated on Sept 24 that says that our case was shipped to NVC. :bonk:

I called NVC yesterday and was barraged with the "you have to wait 25 BUSINESS days" language. Agent would not even tell me if my file was received.

Also contacted Nebraska by email (calling is useless) to ask them which is true, sent? not sent? Awaiting reply ...

Fellow VJ member whose petition was approved the same day saw their petition shipped in two days and is already at NVC.

So after 9 months for a NOA2, here we are facing this. :clock:

Add me to the list. Approved on October 6th, I received notice from USCIS yesterday which says "We sent original application to NVC". Online status says "For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State." I don't think online status means much in this case as the mail clearly says it is sent. I will try calling them next Friday I guess.

My approval notice was September 19th from Nebraska and it was shipped today October 9th. I think yours should be sent either this Friday or coming Monday

You were right, I just got the notice that it was shipped today (since yesterday was a holiday). Finally! So it took 26 days after approval for them to send my case.

Post Decision Activity

On October 14, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

My NOA2 said the same thing, "We have sent the original visa petition to the NVC" so I was just as worried and confused. I think they just have the language unclear on the NOA2, it's not actually physically sent until you get the notice from USCIS. Mine was approved on Sept. 20th and I just got the notice today, so hang in there! Yours is coming soon :)

It's still a mystery why some get shipped within a few days and others have to wait weeks. Pure uscis fashion i suppose :D Anyways I am glad to be out of uscis after almost 10 months. Good luck to all waiting. Keep ringing all the bells (that's what I did).
