Finally I got interview notification. Our AOS interview is on April 13 :)

I received two text messages from uscis...one as early as 6:31am and the second one at 7:00am. When i check my case status it said interview as scheduled for april 20th.

Hello to all October filers! :-)

I haven't written so far, but today I got some really good news and I really do want to share it with you, because I know how hard is the whole process especially when you do not know how long you should wait.

I am adjusting my status from B1. We filed our documents in mid October in Chicago, IL and our firs receipt is from 17 October. Exactly 3 months later I received my EAD.

Last month I called the USCIS to get some more information on how things are going and should we expect to hear something from them soon. The guy I spoke to told me that our office (Chicago) is currently processing documents from April 2014 and I felt devastated. Anyway I got over the fact that I should way at least 6 more months.

You can imagine my surprise when today I received an email that we are scheduled for an interview in mid April!!!!

I received an initial interview notice for my i485 and they are asking if i have ever been arrested to come with paper that states the arrest. My question is, is this a normal thing or am i having a stoke interview?

Dassy,

Don't sweat that criminal record paper if you have never had any issues. It seems to be another check about a possible arrest record. Our interviewer did ask my wife the arrest question in our interview which seemed to just verify the information already presented. This might be due to the fact that at the interview you have to swear to tell the truth.

Good Luck!

Hi Guys,

For those of you who got your Green Card already, can you verify what date is written one the "RESIDENT SINCE" line

I received the Green Card. The interview was on 2/18/15...

The Green Cards says resident since 10/2014... this was when the I-485form was submitted. so now I am confused if this is correct or should it say the date after my interview?

Hi there,

My resident since date says: 02/05/15 which is the date of my interview and was approved the same day.

It has been almost 5 months since we sent our AOS petition. We received the EAD/AP in January.

No updates yet regarding AOS. I see a lot of October filers have received a letter for the potential

interview waiver after about 3-4 months. Anyway of knowing if we will get an interview vs a waiver

at this point in time, based on the filing time frame? I know no one has a crystal ball; just wondering

if there is any correlation between time filed and potential interview letter.

Hi Abby, Yes the problem was resolved yesterday.

I requested for an InfoPass appointment. We went yesterday.

The officer looked at our paperwork, I showed him a copy of our interview appointment letter dated 2/18/2015.

I showed him the Welcome Letter, the 797, I showed him as many documents proving that we got approved this year not the date the card has...

then he asked me "so what? what do you want me to do?"

I told him, I am requesting a new card. Already filled out the form I-90 and mailed it.

I told him I want the I-511stamp in the passport.

He told me to wait. Took the passport.

A few minutes later he came back with the passport and a stamp.
