This is insane. This is so frustrating and horrible. Is it possible to submit a new application and if gets routed to CSC, pull out our current application? Or even just take the risk, pull this application and resubmit?

No. If it was easy to do, then everyone would be doing it or have done it already. But it isn't easy, it takes time to cancel a petition, serious time, so you might as well wait. And I haven't even touched on the issue of "potential fraud" in such a scenario. So unfortunately, you're stuck. Believe me, we're all pissed right now.

9/8/14 - I129F petition sent to the USCIS lockbox via USPS
9/11/14 - Petition received @ USCIS lockbox
9/11/14 - NOA1 Email and text message received
9/15/14 - NOA1 Official notice date
9/18/14 - NOA1 hard copy received
12/9/14 - "Updated" likely because of website repairs, like many of us received
4/20/15 - NOA2 text and email (221 days)

4/29/15 - Sent to the NVC (9 days)

5/8/15 - Arrived at the NVC (9 days)

5/13/15 - Left the NVC (5 days)

5/15/15 - Electronic version arrived at the embassy (2 days)

5/20/15 - Paper copy arrived at the embassy (7 days)

6/4/15 - Status changed to AP (which meant that we could schedule the interview)

6/16/15 - Medical

6/17/15 - K1 APPROVED!!!!

6/30/15 - Passport and sealed envelope delivered via courier

Today's Update give us 190 days to NOA2 (8/23/14-2/28/15) - Or 6 months + 1 week

Previous update gave us 183 days to NOA2 (8/2/14-1/31/15) - Or just at 6 months

I don't see how this update positively swings anything for USCIS? I would have expected a serious inflation of the time... like maybe down to 5.5 months or something...

Or do they not care because they announced the "routing of new cases to CSC on 3/27/15?

This is beyond me... seriously... I'm sorry September Filers :(

I thought that the update meant that's the date they were processing as of 2/28/15, but someone corrected me that the as of 2/28/15 only applies to the petitions falling within the accepted approval time (i/e processing in 5 months). If it says a date, that is the date they are claiming they are processing as of the update which would mean 8/23/14-4/13/15 which is 233 days - of 7 months 21 days :(

No. If it was easy to do, then everyone would be doing it or have done it already. But it isn't easy, it takes time to cancel a petition, serious time, so you might as well wait. Or the fact that what would happen if they did route you to TSC...and you'd have to start the 7+ month wait over... :::shudders:::

So based on these trends ... The next update will come on May 18 2015. It will give an update stating that on March 31st they were working on applications from September 15th. 197 days.

Lucky me ... I will be able to make an inquiry after the June 22nd update to processing times once my NOA1 date is 266 days old (Just shy of 9 months).

I just saw the updated USCIS timeline....that was disheartening. in a month +7 days, they only moved 21 days "officially". Still processing August according to them. Aug 23, 2014 officially....

This makes me want to scream, cry, and kick something...

Let's hope our turn will be next fellow New Yorker (or NYer to be!).

I did my waiting! 9 months of it.. IN TSC!

When filling in your timeline, please understand that all I-129F's are sent to the LOCKBOX in Texas, and then ROUTED (not transferred) to your ASSIGNED service center- the one in Texas "TSC" (not the same as the lockbox!), or the one in California "CSC". If your tracking number starts with WAC, you're at the CSC, you were not transferred! There are no transfers at this time. If your number starts with SRC you're at the TSC and that's where you will serve your entire sentence.USCIS isn't fair.

They don't care about you.

Hey! You're petitioning from France to New York too! How long are you expecting after you get your NOA2?

Expecting? I haven't gotten my NOA2 yet (7months waiting so far) and I'm hoping to be in the USA by mid-June.. but my hope is fading away as days passes.

I did my waiting! 9 months of it.. IN TSC!

Are you sure? It doesn't say that anywhere in their processing time webpage... There is a VJ timeline that shows an NOA1 of 9/8/14 and NOA2 of 1/22/15 for example: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?cfl=0&id=198744Eh, well maybe those people were actually CSC who knows...

If it's really 233 days, seems to me that they really wouldn't want that number public. I never counted it that way so I'm panicking a bit now :S

So based on these trends ... The next update will come on May 18 2015. It will give and update stating that on March 31st they were working on Applications from September 15th. 197 days.

:( I really hope the info received by one memeber earlier that they are hiring new staff to help adjudicate 129Fs is true and that is starts ASAP.

They play it in whatever way makes them feel better. From a "responsibility" point of view they can say ... "Hey your application is not older than the published date from two months ago, so you are still within acceptable processing times" But from a "reporting" point of view they can say ... "Well, on March 31st 2015 we were working on August 23rd 2014 applications, so we are almost within a month of the 5 month guidelines ... not bad". I guess possession of the cake is 9/10 of eating it ... too? Or eating 9/10 of a cake means you possess it like a gift horse? Something along those lines.

I am not quite getting one thing, why do they post an update as of Feb 28th even though is a month and half later? We are obliged to think they are further away with the petitions since it's freaking April already; even not having this small percentage of insight via VJ we could figure out this "data" is not accurate.

They need a month and a half to process the list of K-1's they processed in the last month.

Yes, I'm being sarcastic.

Yes, I'm pissed as well.

Timeline (yyyy-mm-dd)

  • 2014-09-04: I-129F received by USCIS
  • 2014-09-08: Received NOA1 notification via email
  • 2015-04-16: uscis.gov status updated to approved! (219 days since NOA1)
  • 2015-04-20: Received I-797 NOA2 in mail (Notice date 2015-04-16)
  • 2015-04-29: USCIS sends application to NVC
  • 2015-05-07: NVC receives packet
  • 2015-05-13: Package left NVC for consulate
  • 2015-05-18: Consulate receives package

I think we should create a new thread and ask people to send an email. if we create a new thread a lot of people would have a look at it and she should post on it everyday so the tread will stay at the top.
