It really is. I felt safe there and it's so easy to get around. I really miss it and all of the wonderful friends I made there. As we still have family there i'm sure I will be in Chicago as much as possible. Make sure you take the boat tours. There's also a water taxi that goes along the river. It's really cheap and such a nice ride.

And thank you, dear. I am so ready to be free of immigration issues. I certainly won't be moving again until I get citizenship. I have been to Florida a couple of times and drove across most of it. It is lovely. We will be in Sarasota, which looks perfect! The heat is going to be weird for me year round though. I've been taking in the autumn scenery this week and spending time with my horses before once again saying goodbye.

My weight is constantly up and down. I remember the days of weighing 100lbs, I'm hoping I get back to it before moving to Florida. I probably won't though as all I want at the moment is chocolate. Haha.

I hope you get your interview date soon so you can start your new adventure (F)

I will definitely check those out! And hey if the weather starts to bother you in winter time you can visit family in Chicago and remember how blessed you are to be living in a tropical paradise :) .

No, staring at the computer and watching Youtube, Big Bang Theory, which they had full episodes. :( I did sleep some. :)

Oh dear heart, I'm so very sorry I can't believe they give these people so much power over us there has to be a recourse to this madness it can't be they can do what ever they wish. Were are our rights, our right to pursue happiness? Something must be done about this, it can't continue the way it is.

Have you tried to make an appointment with immigration in your area and talk to them face to face? God willing this will make them see they are dealing with a living being. I'll be praying on my side that you get the justice you deserve. :(t5063.gif

It has to be the most difficult thing of all and I'm happy this is not my case. I don't think I could do it! Don't worry about the interview date I have seen everyone stressing over it and they get it in due time. t5063.gif

It really is but what can I do if my soul mate happened to be on the other side of the world :)

Keeping you in my prayers and can't wait to here your good news !!!!

Hey all,

I need advice! My i-130 was approved in March 12 2014. By the time we got our case number from NVC, paid the fees and what not came June and we submitted supporting docs Long with AOS. We hired a lawyer. The lawyer screwed us over and we got checklisted in Aug for AOS. Then we resent the AOS with corrections. Our scan date was Auf 27. On Oct 23 i got checklist again! The lawyers paralegal left part 6 item 10 blank!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooo furious! I called NVC and so did my hubby, the rep told us it was a silly mistake and while correcting previous checklist item 13 a mistake was made. She asked us if we wanted to take the lawyer off the case bc of the mistake; she was shocked. Anyways, since Oct 23 my husband and I are trying to fix things and the lawyer is not cooperating. He is refusing to meet up with my hubby in NY to talk and look over the AOS. He has been ignoring all phone calls and emails. What should we do? Take him off the case and get another lawyer or just submit the corrected AOS ourselves????? My IV documents were approved the last time in Aug, my hubby AOS was approved last week, only my joint sponsor (MIL) corrected AOS needs to be mailed. I am sooo stressed right now and my poor hubby is struggling too :(

Please someone help me :(

I agree get rid of the Lawyer and post your AOS here without personal information to make real sure it's perfect, if you wish of course. I'll be praying for you my dear. t4582.gif What Romii said she is brilliant. :D

Thank you for your response. Yes he isn't owning up to anything. I bombarded his and his paralegals email and then they both applied. I was pissed. I pointed out their stupidity and he has the audacity to tell me he wasn't careless and other bs!!!! I didn't even bother responding to such incompetence. Actually thinking of reporting him to the bar!!!

I will def tell my husband to call and see what can be done. I will try to find the number in the thread. Soloenta if you see this can you reply with the number??! Thanks a bunch <3

He will have to leave a message but next day a Supervisor from NVC will be calling you/husband. National Visa Center/ NVC , Director Phillip Slattery 603-334-0927

Your NOA1 is April, 2013!!?? :wow: That may be the longest wait time I've ever seen!

I'd fire the lawyer and send the corrected AOS form by myself if I were you.

No one wants the prize of longest wait time but two of us sent our I-130 in Feb 2013 with NOA 1 was March 2013 , mine was changed to June 24 2013 due to USCIS mistake. I would gladly give this (don't even know what to call it) up. :D

I will definitely check those out! And hey if the weather starts to bother you in winter time you can visit family in Chicago and remember how blessed you are to be living in a tropical paradise :) .

I love autumn but unfortunalty here in Jordan it goes from summer to winter kinda ... Don't have those lovely trees with the amazing fall colors :( I would really like to visit England one day especially the country side.

It must be difficult to part with the horses ! Such lovely creatures .

You can always have dark chocolate ;) very healthy ! But make sure it's 80% dark chocolate not less.

To stop my crazy late night snacking I put four jars on the table one own walnuts , dried cranberries , raisins and dates . Guilt free snack jars lol

Haha, yes. It's funny thinking about it. When we lived in Chicago we would always complain about the weather and thought about moving to Florida the whole time. Then we ended up in England and now we are going to be living in FL. I am doing PhD research and the place in FL is the only place to have got back to me and on top of that my friend's father happened to be renting his house out 10 mins from where I will be researching. It's almost as though everything fell into place, apart from me no longer having a green card!

I live in the countryside and it is lovely, especially at this time of year. Illinois and Wisconsin have some beautiful scenery though too so you will get to experience Autumn next year.

You sound too healthy! Haha. My husband is vegan so I try to buy dark chocolate when he is around but now he's not i've been pigging out on the bad stuff. I have promised myself that after Halloween I am going to be healthier! ( i love that there is a pumpkin option to put here!!)

That is super awesome how it worked out that way ! In what field are you ? I mean your PhD ?

I am trying to put my nutrition degree into use cause I really lost it this summer till the point where I only had liquid foods cause I couldn't eat :( but thank god I got back on track and fought whatever was going on with me gained back a few pounds and got back to working out .

I would love to be vegan but don't have the will power ! I only tired cutting back on meat for a month and honestly I felt so healthy and light that when I walked I felt like I should be skipping hahaha

That pumpkin is really cute :) I don't have the emotion icons showing for some reason

Hey VJ Family!

Congrats on all the recent CCs!! :dancing:

SOLOENTA!! WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE? I thought you'd be waiting or have your interview date by now!!

Sorry been MIA since I sent my AOS & IV bc I was getting super stressed out & constantly ill so I just made myself busy so time just went by quicker, which it really did! I was just checking the last few pages to see what dates they're working on...looks like Sept 2nd!! That's good! My AOS & IV scan dates is 9/18 & later we sent Police Certs Scan Date 10/7....so I still have a little more waiting to do but I wanted to take a peek and see what dates they're currently working on and if they've gotten better or not. I still need to do a lot of catching up on this thread. Been praying for all my VJ fam!

Praying for NVC to speed up and that everyone here gets thru NVC and a speedy CC!!
