Ketsuban: Congratulations on getting your November interview!

Just to update everyone also waiting for NVC to ship their cases:

Our CEAC status is still "At NVC". It's been 33 days since case complete and 11 days since they scheduled the interview. As far as I can tell, we have the earliest UK CC date but the latest UK November interview date on the spreadsheet. Everything that could have gone wrong at NVC has gone wrong for us. I expect the embassy in London will have an emergency shutdown on November 21st and a volcano will erupt shortly thereafter in Iceland.

I wonder what the hold up is? It's so frustrating. Tomorrow my Husband has his medical appt. and our docs are still at the NVC. We even got the Interview letter as well. I don't get it!

Marriage: 12-23-13 in England
Service Center: Nebraska Service Center

Consulate: London, England

USCIS:
I-130 NOA1: 1-17-14

Glad you got such an early interview date! :) Mine is on Nov 12, so I guess we won't be on the same flight to TX ;) I read that DFW is a good and fast POE though, so I am really considering it.

Houston (IAH) was really fast for us once we were called. No questions were asked either, just fingerprinted, stamped, signed, and we were outta there.

Really? :wow: When I visited my husband, it took me 1.5 hours to get through immigration because the line was so long and they were so slow. But that was also right before Christmas. Thanks for the info! :) I'll need to read some more reviews of IAH then.

Now come on now none of that. :sleepy: Remember I mentioned the PD (Receive date at USCIS) has alot to do with date you get.

When you have a boatload of folk with different CC's all in the queue for upcoming interviews PD's come in to play. Go look at all the folk for November for your embassy(people please do not compare your embassy to another its not the same) and look at their NOA1 days on their timeline.

Seems only fair someone who has been waiting almost 1/2 to 2 years getting a interview date before someone filing after them.

Also everyone needs to take account that NVC is not knowing that almost everyone wants a earlier date. Who knows maybe the embassy is saying hold on to those petitions so people wonlt call. Its the embassy that request when things get shipped to them. And well think of the case-files they already got there (remember visitor visa, business, and K1's and others we don;t even know about).

I know like Lagos Embassy conducts 400 to 500 visitor visa interviews per day. Imagine that. They have 4 to 5 IR1/CR1 and K1's Mon-Thursday. Now Nigeria has two embassies but only Lagos does IR1/CR1 and K1. So imagine their case load.

All you can do is wait and hope for the best. I have seen petitions sent out a week before interview. Be patient and at least you have a date. :goofy:

Thank you for your wisdom and insight. What would we do without you to guide us and calm us down when we are stressed?! Thank you. It is so easy to get so obsesive, self-centered, and focussed in this process and lose sight of the small victories - like how great it felt to even get a case complete, or to even get an interview date.

Congrats to the people who have just gotten their case completed, scheduled their interview, received their visas, or successfully been through POE!

Yeah, even I was surprised how quickly we got through because it seemed like every lane was open as opposed to the normal 4-5 people working both Citizen and Non-Citizen lines. We waited about an hour in the actual immigration room, but that was due to hardly any officers being in there. Once they started coming in, we were called and hubby hardly had to do or say anything before we got his passport stamped and left to collect our luggage.

I wouldn't mind IAH but it is a bit out of the way....will def visit though! :star:

Oh, definitely. You're closer to Dallas as it is, but you'll def have to let me know when you come visit! :D

That is true. Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to you Austin! :)

Me too! But perhaps the Icelandic volcano will erupt as soon as CEAC changes to "In Transit". :)

 Just saw this ... it hasn't happened yet, and doesn't look like it'll happen any time soon, fingers crossed!!

Just got off the phone with NVC. My case is STILL at NVC. They haven't shipped it off yet! Why??!! Oct 3 they scheduled my interview for Nov 3. Montreal, Canada.

Any other Canadians with Nov interviews having similar issues?

Austincanada, has yours left yet?

Mandiimoose, did you have an expedite?

I am so pissed. At this rate I am going to have my medical results back (medical last week on Wednesday) before the case even leaves NVC.

Mine still shows "NVC", but I wouldn't worry about it since it only takes one day to ship a package to Montreal.

You can just relax for now since your interview date is not tomorrow but three weeks away. :star: Nobody is going to die!

No problem. Thats what we are here for. For each other. We celebrate the good bad and the ugly. So whine, yell, scream, cry it is all well.

I am in a support group of men and women married to Africans and with all this Ebola mania its like get my husband wife here now. It's been a bit cray cray. And I am in Texas and people are like looking for people who look sick.

Everything is cough....You have Ebola. Headache ...Ebola. Lord help us.

I started having sore throat last night. Now I have headache, body-aches, sore throat and dang don;t feel good. Must be Ebola. :protest::ranting:
