The NVC Moral Support/Ranting Thread

It's not really moral support but it might be interesting insight to some. I received a response from the AskNVC address (I had sent it a couple of weeks ago to the old address) and the person who responded is from FCi Federal and is apparently a "support contractor". I just checked out their website and they won a contract with NVC in April.

I wonder if this will make it faster or slower? They have a period to ajust to the new work and system not sure if it's a good thing but we shall soon see. :) Thank you so much for the information. :)(F) (L) (F)

Just called NVC twice, first Rep sounded very sleepy and she informed me that my case has not been reviewed yet and gave me the 60 day speech, I didn't even bother asking her anymore questions because she just sounded so so so sleeeeeepy lol I called again because I'm so anxious for a CC and waiting another weekend for NVC is frustrating!! So JOY was not nice whatsoever, I didn't get to ask her about my case when she was already telling me that I need to let 60 days pass by, that I will get notified by email. I said OK, and asked if she knew once they got to my case how long it takes foe NVC to review packets, on average. She said "I said 60 days!!" Her tone bothered me and I explained to her that I was not asking how long it would take for them to get to my case but how long they actually take reviewing the packets, she said she didn't know. I asked what case they're working on, she said she didn't know, I told her another Rep yesterday let me know what case NVC was on, she said that must have been a special kind of Rep because she does not have access to that info... ugh!!! :( 52 days & counting... scan date 07/22--- so sad guys

She's such a rotten little monster and you can complain and I think you should. Really she's getting paid to answer our questions not make our day worse. If I ever get her she will hear from me for sure. I have had it with nasty mean people. :(

Take heart my friend your so very close just a few days I'm thinking 3 might find your CC by mid next week so cheer up. I know how frustrating it is I'm checking the site every 30 mins and no change hahaaa God will it ever change. :)smileys-confused-917847.gif

Marriage: 12/10/2013
Sent I-130: 1/23/14
NOA1: 1/30/14
NOA2: 6/10/14
Email that it was shipped to nvc: 6/23/14
Received by NVC: 7/1/14
Case#/IID# assigned: 7/16/14
Received/Submitted DS-261: 7/29/14
Paid AOS fee: 7/30/14
Sent AOS packet: 8/1/14
Aos fee showing PAID: 8/2/14
Received and paid IV Fee: 9/8/14 (fee showing paid / DS-260 available 9/9/14)
Submitted DS-260: 9/11/14
Sent IV packet: 9/24/14
NVC Received 9/26/14

Arrived in US: 3/8/14

STILL HAPPY AND NORMAL AS OF 8/4/2016!!

AOS Approved per phone: 10/22/14
*Received what I thought was a false checklist on this date as well*

*Problems: Called on 10/27/14 11/5/14 and 11/20/14 just to be proactive On all of these dates except the last, NVC kept telling me that my IV document probably hadn't been reviewed yet. On 11/20 the representative told me that the BC needed to be inextensa and the marriage license. True enough I had sent an extracto. But requested a supervisor review bc I knew the marriage lic was inextensa. 2 days later called again and got the same supervisor who told me that the marriage lic needed the proper signed legalizada (sticker on the back)

Sent necessary documents/Received: 11/20/14 and 11/26/14

Called 12/15/14: got Arthur....after he checked and verbally spanked he sent me to supervisor Silvia who said she would pull my file and try to figure it out.

Case complete: 12/19/14 Sylvia called and left a voicemail, called and confirmed later that night and status changed to N/A.

Thank you so much Sylvia. May God bless you and your family.

Appointment date and time received: 12/27/14

***FAST FORWARD***

APPT complete/Visa approved: 2/5/2015

Am so sorry you spoke with unhelpful reps. Joy and Arthur are notorious for been so nasty and rude. The email to complain about nasty rep is in Soloenta's signature. NVC is working around July 22 date so hopefully you can still get a CC today.

If I were you, I'd still call tonight before they close just for peace of mind.

So this is going to sound silly, but I totally chickened out of sending the AOS and IV packets yesterday. It took FOREVER to get everything scanned, and labeled appropriately my brain was fried and I didn't want to make a mistake. I'm going to actually do it today after work, but I'm so scared to hit send. I feel like I'm forgetting something, or doing something wrong...I really don't want a checklist. DH and I have gone over every document a hundred times, they're all starting to blur together. Just knowing that the smallest insignificant detail (like the shade of black ink used) can trigger a checklist has us both paranoid.

Not silly at all! Little mistakes cost too much at this point and there is no shame in waiting one extra day to save 60 or more!

I can imagine how you feel. I kept telling my hubby to tripple check all the documents his sending to NVC. Getting a checklist is just going to kill me totally :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead:

Just make a list of all the documents you are scanning in and check again before hitting the send button.
