Called NVC around evening time on Sept. 2nd out of curiosity, if they had IV date for me..for the first time, this rep was very polite and gave me a good news that IV date is scheduled for Oct 14th..I asked when I'll get the email confirmation regarding IV date, she said in about a week..then the next day, around evening time, on Sept. 3rd..received an email confirmation with IV date of Oct 14th..Sooooooo excited that I don't even know what I want to do...finally the waiting game will be over very soon now that I've a date..sooooo happyyyyyyyyyy

we had interview yesterday n got the passport n sealed packet todayyy...amazingggg...so fast...we r sooooo happy...flying to NY in couple of weeks... :):)...

Congrats/Mubarak! I'm glad to see other fellow Pakistanis getting there visas right away and not getting under AP review. Praying that my husband also gets his visa right away as well and we don't have to wait, any suggestions?? Interview Oct 1st in Islamabad!

thanks..the CO was very friendly..actually hes our neighbor in islamabad :P so he became all excited wen he looked at the address cuz he once lived in that same street n now he lived behind my susraal :P but that didnt have anything to do with the visa interview..i have added the review in my timeline..do read it..even though im in pakistan my hubby didnt take me to the interview with him..cuz he said he wud get all confused me being there n being all bossy ??but he was telling me that everyone for immigrant visas that day got the visas..jus be confident n give the answers confidently.IA he will get the visa in couple of days..

hello everyone,

Have any one of you experienced this?

This is weird, I have still not received my interview email from NVC, But today I got a call from the Mumbai Consulate confirming that my interview has been scheduled for OCt 1st.

Does this mean, they already have my package with my papers and documents??

I am really freaking out that I have still not received the interview email! :( I know for no reason.. but very restless.

Hi everyone! Visa was approved today! Quite easy to be honest! Don't know what we were worried about. We were only in there for an hour and 40 mins. Most the time just waiting! The man interviewing us just asked how we met when we married and why my wife moved here first (due to job) and then he asked if I was ever denied a visa which was a no- and then he said your visa is approved!!! Never mentioned domicile at all either. All in all, we are extremely excited and will post a review later :D.

Still no interview booked, just called and checked. Should I be worried that I have been overlooked?

A bit paranoid since the fiasco of them filing my case before issuing my CC and waiting patiently for 71 days and then finding out they made a mistake.

We applied just before we were eligible for DCF :( which was quite annoying to be honest! We kicked ourselves for it but we weren't going to cry over spilt milk.

Oh remember that silly checklist we got for no w2 and the p60s? The lady just handed her the p60 back saying we don't need this.

Didn't ask for any additional documents or nothing.

Neither have we. I think most people are still waiting on the email. I hope they do the honors by today, otherwise it again gets pushed to Monday after a two day break!
