Hi Everyone :)

I've been following along for almost a year now, but this is my first post! I have a question (sorry if it's been asked before). I was looking through my AOS package that I've already sent, and noticed I sent 8 out 9 pages on I-864. I didn't fill anything out on that 9th page, but should I resend just in case? If so, do I resend the entire package or just the form with the nine pages? I'm trying to avoid a checklist as best as I can!

Thanks for your help!

-Sam

Hi All!

A question on what 'Proof of US Status' means on the document cover sheet checklist....

I already have copies of my birth certificates and passports being submitted under different parts of this checklist(in supporting documents and birth certs required).

Is this where they want Proof of Domicile information put into the whole AOS packet? I'm not sure where in the order they'd like to see that as the terminology of Domicle isn't actually listed on the checklist. A lot of the info on this seems to be duplicated from what I've anticipated seeing on the IV checklist and things I've already submitted for the i130, such as Proof of Relationship. It's nuts I have to do all of this AGAIN when they already have all of this info.

Thanks a million in advance for your help.

Hi guys,

I noticed that the spreadsheet hasn't been updated in a while. Guess not many people have sent in requests to update information or simply there hasn't been a lot of movement lately. Hoping for the best! :) CC can't come soon enough... :)

Saylin was offline last week I believe this is why no updates as she is the one maintaining it... She got a lot of reading to do and catch up :reading:

Hi all,

I submitted the DS-261 on 7/26, but between that time and waiting for the IV bill, my wife (beneficiary) mistakenly clicked on the DS-261 link but did not resubmit. As a result, the DS-261 status shows as "incomplete". I read here in the forums and called NVC and confirmed, and they said that as long as it was not resubmitted, the 30 business day counter would not be reset.

I found out by calling NVC that the DS-261 was reviewed and accepted on 9/4 and I received my IV bill on 9/10. So looks like there was no problem clicking on the link (phew). I mailed the IV package docs on 9/12.

My question, though, is how long after the IV bill has been paid should I have to wait for the DS-260 available to fill online? I'm still seeing a "Not started" status with no link to complete the form. I called NVC and they said it should be available about 3-4 business days after IV bill is marked as "Paid." I called a second time after 3-4 business days and then they said they don't know if anything is wrong and that we should wait (he didn't even offer a timeframe).

Has this happened to anyone? The DS-261 remains "Incomplete" and you didn't have the ability to submit the DS-260?

Please let me know. Thank you!

Screenshot of my CEAC Summary page attached.

Hey hi

I had faced exactly same problem with my ds-260 and called the nvc couple of times and they gave the same response to wait 3-4 business days everytime i called and with waiting and repeated calling them i came to know the problem was from their end the nvc had to change and update the ds-261 from incomplete to complete and then only we could start the ds-260....I had to wait for so many days to submit my ds-260 due to this problem from nvc.....I recomend you call them and tell them to upadate your file then you can start your ds-260...

Hi, I would just resend the whole 9 pages all over again because u will definitely get a checklist for not sending all 9 pages. I have seen VJ members make this mistake before so just resend and everything will be fine.

good luck!!

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have any experience with an Embassy saying they have not recieved any documents from NVC yet? Our case was expedited on August 12 and NVC shipped out our documents on August 13th. Using the DHL tracking tool, I saw that our case was delivered on August 18th to the Sydney Consulate

My husband and I have been emailing back and forth with the emabssy and last week he was told to get his medical. However, after getting his medical, he emailed again wondering when his interview would be and the embassy stated they are still waiting on documents from NVC. I contacted NVC, NVC states all documents have been sent out.

What do we do? It's a he said/she said at this point and my husband and I are stuck in the middle. No one knows where our documents are, our originals...does anyone have any experience

In this?!

Please help.

Thank you so much for your answer and for been positive I liked that.

Do not panic my dear.... United State Government don't care if she is working g or not, as long as you are not including her income to supliment you AOS need, you should be fine. Let her enjoy as much as she can while she is there. Once she reaches here she won't regret this time with the family.
So my dear, do not freak out she will be fine at the interview.
Good luck and breath eazily....

So on the 18th we received our CC. Coincidentally, this was both our anniversary and the day I was flying to the US to visit my wife. And pretty much 60 days from when NVC received our checklist response (July 22). No interview yet, but the end is in sight, finally. Oh, and CEAC never changed to N/A for us.
