If that's your reality, have at it. I still have my assault weapons, shotguns, handguns, etc. I have a greater chance of being struck by lighting in than I do being a victim of a terrorist attack. What concerns me more is the much higher probability that I'm far more likely to be a victim of a crime committed by one of my fellow citizens. There are plenty of nuts right here at home.

For example, water supplies. Tamper with one and just think of the number of TSA clones that would be allocated to 'protect'. If they can not protect the Border then how about protecting every stream and river?

The power grid is in a sorry state now. A tree branch I think caused a major blackout in the N east what about 10 years ago. Think about it .The quality of life without electric in today's world .... Drinking water, waste , sewage plants., food rotting., no fresh water. to wash clothes or flush toilets..If you live on a ground floor of a 10 story building Sewage running down the walls from all the floors above. . Have it happen in the winter. Food would be fine but people would in many cases freeze or have mold growing all over their walls if in Florida. .That small riot in Missouri ... Flash mobs in training would be out in force. .. In every city.

I always sleep well at night....I have a porch one must enter to get into the main house. After my weekly trip to the range I keep the best group and it is hung for the week on the door to the main house with the date. ... It encourages me to strive to be a better shot for the coming week..... It also serves as a warning to someone who wishes to enter without permission. I am happy with a group the size of your hand in defensive drills. Many times it is better.... sometimes worse.
